What is your hungriest time of day?

I am a HUGE afternoon eater. I like a light breakfast and light dinner, but love to gorge myself for lunch. If I didn't have to cook a meal for dh almost every night, I could have one huge meal for lunch and have a bowl of cereal for dinner. A lot of diets suggests eating a lot in the afternoon (before 3pm) because you have more time to work it off during the day and less apt to overeat at dinner.

My "hungriest" time of the day is as soon as I get home from work. I just crave sugar/starch. There's no reason for it as I eat breakfast, 2 lunches, and snack before 4 pm, and get home right around 5. We eat dinner at 6:30 or 7, and after that I don't feel the urge to snack. But the first thing I do when I walk in the door is start looking for food (usually junk-type stuff).

Well, today it's been ALL DAY!!! :\ I have no clue what the deal is!
Normally, I'm a big morning early afternoon eater. I can't get enough between breakfast and lunch! Then, I'm okay after I've finished lunch. Dinner is about the same for me as it is for you. Dd doesn't eat my cooking :lol: , she likes an odd assortment and weird combos of stuff together, so I usually do a light dinner for myself.

Definately late afternoon (4ish) right after I get home from school! I guess that's another one of the reasons we eat an early supper...my dk's and I are just plain ole hungry at that time!

Well I wouldn't call this hunger but in the evening after the kids go to bed is when I really feel like eating. It is not because I'm hungry, I believe it comes from the ability to eat in peace and quiet without anybody interrupting me. I definitely am trying to break that habit. :( As for actual hunger I would say I'm usually the most hungry at lunchtime.

When I get home from work around 4:00. That's the time that I have to learn to reach for the veggies/fruit, or lately I've been going on the treadmill at this time instead.

I like a lite lunch and dinner also...I can be really good at lunch too...but get HUNGRY after lunch....between 1 and 3....when the kids are both at school....could be bordom, or just lack of something else to do.....usually grap fruit...but that is my hungry part of the day.....
