View Full Version : Sunday morning
well, the sun is out...but its really cold out there....looks like someone dusted my trees with powder....the snow is sure beautiful....but isn't it spring time? I guess that is where the term "March Madness" came from.... took the kids out to sled yesterday...and of course today everyone has the sniffles....:tearhair: dh is working today, already up and gone....kids are playing upstairs....and I have showered already and having my 1st cup of coffee {the first of many}.
Early for me today....nothing to exciting...didn't do the laundry yesterday...probably should do that today....rented Princess Diaries yesterday, someone told me that thier 3 and 7 year old girls loved it at the theater....HA...both my kids went up stairs half way through....I watched it...it was cute...more a teenie bobber movie than a kids one...IMHO....
I have a new avatar photo of myself, but am getting rejected when I try to load it...so I will be working on that today...saying something that it isn't a GIF file...thought it was....anyway...no dh to cry :bigcry: to until tonight so...I am on my own....
Hope everyone is having a good morning.....enjoy your Sunday all...what ever you decide to do...
:p

Sunday Morning
Good morning everyone. I thought today would be my day to sleep in  , but as per usual, I had so many things going through my mind, I was up bright and early
Oldest ds is watching tv quietly , youngest ds is still sleeping  and of course dh is still sleeping
I got so much done yesterday...spring must really be here. I got on a cleaning streak. We started in my youngest ds room. I told him to make different piles of all his books, toys, etc. One pile for the garage sale, one pile for the "play room" (extra room), and one pile for garbage (broken stuff). Anything that he wanted to keep he put back neatly on his shelf, or in his toy bins under his bed. Once he got going, I told my older son to do the same thing. Of course the carried over to cleaning out the "play room" and then I remembered that they stored toys and stuff in a closet in our family. I felt so good that we cleaned out all the stuff but now I have one problem. There is a huge pile of stuff in the play room and in the family room for the garage sale. It has to get down to the basement....but I have to organize the basement and today I'm too busy to do it.
Off to camp this afternoon...we are having an open house for old staff, returning staff and potential staff. It should be fun because it's just going to be fun things.
Who's watching the awards tonight?
Have a great one everyone
:)

Good morning. The sun should take care of most of this snow, even if it is cold out. I can't believe how little snow we've had this season (sorry Renee-I know you've gotten lots! :( ) Dds friends shoveled once on February 4.....:D . Other than that, the weather has taken care of my driveway. We've been lucky. I'm already hearing how dry it's going to be this summer. We'll see.
We have pancake breakfast this morning at church. My older 2 are already there working. Dd3 and I get to go and eat. :) I've got the house to a manageable chaos, but I have a lot of work to do for school, and the always exciting grocery shopping. Have a good Palm Sunday everyone.

I wouldn't say I'm ready for planting, but I don't have any of those gross brown and gray piles of snow and road salt at the edge of my yard. And I haven't had to wash the floor every 30 minutes either. Course maybe dds have learned to wipe their feet. That'd be nice.

Cathy and Renee....I was starting a new Sunday morning thread, and by the time I had submitted, Renee had posted hers. I cut and paste my Sunday morning thread to Renee's, and then had to sneak back and delete mine. Wow was that hard work :newwink:

Morning. Spent most of the day yesterday in bed with ice on my ankle. But we did go out to dinner with some friends (our boys are on the backpack trip) and our dd's. My foot is better today, I can put more pressure on it and it's not as swollen. Hopefully, I can get back on the treadmill tomorrow.
It's pretty here, but the humidity has come back.

Definately Ann  :bounce:
Wow, I saw this post was already 2 pages long and then I read it and it's only a few people! LOL Glad eveyone got their posts figured out!
I survived my teeth coming out! :yippee: I have been taking advil and tylenol alternating every 3 hours and for the most part it's been working for the pain. I'm just really hungry! LOL The past two days I've been living on mashed potatoes, pudding and applesauce. I had some toast this morning and it was SO GOOD! LOL Also a bowl of cream of wheat, which was good as well. I keep seeing these pizza commercials on tv and boy do I want some pizza! :)
I need to go to the grocery store, but I might wait until tomorrow morning. My dks are on spring break and I only have 1 dck tomorrow, so I'll probably just take the 3 of them and go first thing in the morning instead of dealing with the weekend crowd.
I'm SO ready for the snow to be gone. It's been 5 1/2 months now since I last saw the ground at my house! I think we have snow in the forecast for later this week, I just hope they are wrong!
Have a great day everyone. Ann, haven't found the post about your sore ankle, but I hope it's better soon.
I taught my last day of Sunday school for the year today, it's always sad to see a bunch of children for the last time. I know that I'll see them in church but it's not the same as talking to them every Sunday.
Dd has been running a fever for three days now, I wish she would start feeling better since ds's spring break started yesterday. The kids want to see Ice Age and ET and maybe make a trip to Camp Snoopy while school is out.
I did some cardio kickboxing yesterday and my but sure hurts. i'll have to go to that class again. :)
Jen- glad your teeth are feeling better
Ann- hope your ankle is better
Renee- We're still covered in snow too. :(

Hey all!! I had a great weekend with my mom. Brichard ended up coming down and we stayed another night. We got home about 2 this afternoon. I've just about gotten everything I need for Emilee now. Still hunting for a dresser... My mom even bought new bedding for dd and now dd wants her room painted purple. I guess I will work on that this week.
I'm beat and going to bed....goodnight!

Glad you had fun! My dd's room is painted the most beautiful shade of lavender with darker purple accents.

Dd1 begged to have her room painted lavender, then (within a month) hated it, and covered almost every square inch with posters, pictures, and things she cut out of magazines. I can barely see any of the beautiful color she chose. It's a strange, funky, busy room. I'm amazed that she can sleep without nightmares!! LOL She loves it.

Ann, do you happen to have the brand and name of paint available? My dd is asking for a purple room - I told her PALE was the only way it was going to happen! :)
I'll check. It's Sherwin Williams.

I just picked up the paint. It is a really pretty lavendar. The same color as some of the flowers in the quilt. I bought some accent paints to paint some of the flowers on the walls to match the ones in the bedding.
I got Sears brand sateen on sale for 9.99/gallon.
Sounds pretty. What does the bedding look like? sounds like my dd's.

I actually tried to find the link to it on the Target website, but they don't have it on there. The quilt is white with flower shapes in two shades of pink and purple. The dust ruffle is purple. I'll keep looking for it!
