Does anybody remember...

Does anybody remember a LONG time ago when we had a poster on the board who we called the "SPELLING POLICE"??? Nobody knew for sure who she was (I always suspected that it was Bjay) but every time she would spot a mispelled word she'd correct it? (In a very silly manner) I remember their being a few other things besides the Spelling Police but for the life of me I can't remember what they were. I know that some of you have been here as long as I have been... do you remember what they were? Thanks!!!

Spelling Police? I love it! Of course, it's annoying and rude to correct someone's grammar/spelling when they are trying to make an important point, but I still cringe just a little when I read "I went to they're house" or "I could care less" etc. Maybe a separate Spelling Police thread separate from anyone trying to discuss an issue. :)

It was always done in a fun way... so nobody ever really took it literally. LOL I remembered what the other one was... it was the "Thread Police". Whenever somebody went off the topic that was being discussed the "Thread Police" entered into the picture and fined everybody a certain amount of "snickers bars". LOL

My pet peeve is when I see people using the Too, to and two in the wrong way. LOL The their, there and they're are also easy ones to mess up... I know I've done that one myself a few times and I cringe when I see that I've done it. LOL As far me spelling Realtor wrong... I've ALWAYS spelled it realitor... LOL I'm glad that SOMEBODY finally brought it to my attention. Thanks angie r... LOL :) :) :)

Whew, I was beginning to think I'd made everyone mad!! It is so easy to make an error with all the chaos we generally have going on in the room with us!! I love the editing feature we have now. Only now I can't blame it on I didn't pay enough attention, it is because I really don't know!! LOL

I didn't want you to think I was mad at you... because I wasn't. :) LOL After I had posted what I did back to you I wondered if maybe I shouldn't have. Believe me... it would take a lot more than somebody correcting my spelling to get me mad. LOL :) (I only wish somebody had done it sooner) Take care...

Hi Diane. I miss the spelling police....I'm with you I think it was Bjay! She was sooooo good at it.
