View Full Version : OK I am back on Board
got myself on the Ultra slimfast program for a week to shake things back into perspective....starting my Bike routine tonight....an extra 30 minutes a day...on top of my ellipse (30 minutes) in the morning....doing lots of water at least 40 oz daily....feeling good about the start up again.....ok just 10 pounds and I will be at a good weight....20 and I will have hit my goal....
:) here's to us getting it off....:happydnc:
Good luck!
I have been doing Sugar Busters and really like it. I don't have a scale, but from the way my clothes are fitting, I think I am losing weight. But you know what, I feel so good, I almost don't care if I don't. I am really liking how this is a way of life eating and not just a diet. I went out this weekend twice and was able to on it just fine..not feeling deprived at all. And I am eating more than ever too!

Renee - good luck with the Slim Fast - I found I need FOOD - need that chewing action to feel satisfied. I would drink the slim fast and then eat!!
Ann - does Sugar Busters cut out all sugar from your diet? Did you feel any 'coming down' sort of sensation/headaches, crankiness, etc?
I checked out some Tae-Bo tapes and did one this a.m. and can feel myself already getting sore... even down deep in my post-baby belly bulge. :)

What is the Sugar Busters plan? What do you eat for meals etc? I have been so good in the past 10 days, but I don't feel like I've lost anything (maybe a pound :\ ) I probably should increase my time on the treadmill by another mile, but maybe I should try something different with my eating (cuz just eating healthy isn't doing it for me).

You cut out all foods with sugar added, and try to limit natural sugars to 3 grams per serving. You can eat any vegetable but potatoes, corn and white rice. And the only fruits you can't eat are bananas, raisins, watermelon....so it's a pretty inclusive way of eating. It limits starchy carbs to 2 servings a day, and mostly whole grain ones. It is amazing how much added sugar there are in things, but we don't eat a ton of processed food so this really has been pretty easy. I am even doing it with the kids somewhat, and they haven't even noticed. They talk about detox where you are getting the sugar out of your body, but I haven't really had that. I am a little headachy today, and it think it's my body getting rid of the sugar in the (legal) wine I drank this weekend! LOL

Way to go everyone!!!! :happydnc:
Sounds like everyone is doing great! Keep it up!!! I did horrible this weekend... but I'm making up for it today!
I can't do the Slim Fast, either, not satisfying enough. Can't do Tae Bo, my bad knee can't take it. Have to be careful with the Lite Aerobics, even. But, the other exercises are working out great. I keep thinking that by strengthening my thigh muscle, my knee will hurt less, so far, that's not the case. So now it's, do I go back to my doc and see what he says, or live with. I've had 2 surgeries on the knee, and the last one just about killed me!! Oh well, babbling on... no idea why!!! I've lost another pound! woo hoo!! I'm really surprised after my binge this weekend!! But hey, I'll take it!! It's a pound less than I've weighed for a long, long time!!

I started doing tae-bo a couple of weeks ago with some women after work. I'd like to get to 4 days a week, but I keep having other stuff to do, so I'm at 3 now. We're doing a 'basic' tape. I really feel good when we're through. It knocks out the stress of the day and only takes about half an hour. I don't think I could do it alone though. I'm too lazy, I think.
We plan to move to the advanced tape after another week or 2.

I did the basic one today and it's great - only 30 minutes and I was 'worked out'! :)
I'd like to do it each morning before we all get going - but I may be too lazy to get my tail out of bed. :)
What kind of results have you seen so far? I'm expecting my pants to practically fall off, in oh.... say a week or two...... JUST JOKING! :)
I swear, that Billy Blanks has bigger boobs than I do! Do you have the one where he's in the blue unitard???? Oh my.... 8o

As far as results, I can now finish the tape and walk out of the room without stumbling. LOL But since I changed my smoking habits, I've been gaining some weight. I think I'm just trying to stay about even.
Sounds like we have the same tape.

Thanks, Renee. It hurt to retire 2 pairs of jeans (already) but I'll get over it. Besides a shopping trip might be kind of fun. I'm dreading taking out my spring/summer clothes--because I really like them, and I know I'll have to let a lot of them go. I'm not sure I really want to work hard enough (or be hungry enough) to keep them. :(
