View Full Version : Update on Doctor's visit today
Every culture they did on me came back negative, yet my cervics look like a big red cauliflower. They said it almost looks as if it has a cold with the dripping discharge. (sorry for the graphic description). They are at a total loss and decided to take another pap smear to be on the safe side. Hopefully, I'll get an answer to that by early next week. Im kinda nervous about this one. I had one back in November and it came back normal, but with all this going on, I hope I don't have abnormal cells.
I have the gynecologist appointment April 9th to see what they have to say, but the NP is positive I will need a biopsy. I would say I have a fairly high level of pain tolerance, but the pap smear took me up the wall because my cervics is so irritated. I can't imagine a punch hole of the area would be a walk in the park.
Please pray for me. Cancer doesn't run in my family, so I hope that tolerance has passed onto me. They don't want to give me any more antibotics because it hasn't helped, so I have to live with this until April 9th. Thanks for listening!

Can they sedate you or numb the area for the biopsy? Wouldn't the pap smear come back abnormal if it was cancer? Have they done any kind of test to see if there is something inside your uterus/tubes causing the inflammation to your cervix? Prayers for you Amy.
Sorry that you didn't get any news today. I hope that the gyno can figure something out, too bad you have to wait until the 9th.

So sorry you are still suffering and didn't get any answers today. It's one thing to be in pain, it's another to have it all of the time where you are. :\ Hope you hang in there until the 9th and that they have some answers for you soon!! Will keep you in my prayers that it's not cancer!! {{{hugs}}}

They couldn't even come up with something to relieve the symptoms? I'm so sorry. That must be really frustrating. I hope you get answers and relief soon. Prayers are being said for you.

Prayers and hugs for you. So sorry they couldn't come up with anything. I hope you get some answers, and relief, very soon. I'll be thinking of ya.
Isn't there anything they can give you for relief?
Thanks all! Im so thankful I have you all to unload on. LOL
I have been on 4 different courses of antibiotics since November and it keeps coming back. They think the meds have stripped me too much and want the Gynecologist to see it in "all its glory". Maybe with some space between meds, I can give my body the chance to heal itself (wishful thinking?). Anyone know of any sites that deal with natural remedies for medical problems?
Bless your heart!
With cervical biopsies, they usually inject novacaine or some other deadening type of agent, if they don't offer, demand it!
You can have abnormal cells and it not be cancer. I have had many paps with abnormal cells, and they just watch it. Also, if it is cervical cancer, that is fortunately a very slow growing type of cancer with a good successful treatment rate.
Ugh! Sometimes doctors seem soooo incompetent to me!!! :{ Perhaps if you threaten to camp out on this new doctor's doorstep he'll work with you aggressively to find out what's causing all of this. :\
This website actually has a forum to ask questions about which herbal remedies would be best. Not sure if you would feel comfortable posting elsewhere about this, but maybe you can get some info looking at the archives. http://www.herbremedy.com/ (((HUGS)))

Amy {HUGS}}}}} I'm so sorry that you're having to go through this... the not knowing and waiting for answers can be so stressful. It's too bad they can't get you in before April 9th... which isn't really a
very long wait, but it sure can be when you're worried. Who knows...
maybe with some space between meds, your body WILL have a chance to heal itself... you never know, stranger things have happened. 8o
Until then... I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers... Keep us updated on how things are going.

Eventhough I don't think I have ever been exposed to those, they even tested me for that too and came back negative. No STD related virus is causing this. EVERYTHING has come back negative. I must have some defiant cells that are wreaking havoc on the rest of me.
