I ran 8 miles today! Woo Hoo! I have not worked out any this week, but I felt so good on the treadmill that I kept on going. I ran at 6.0 mph for a couple of miles and then upgraded it to 6.2, 6.5, 7.0, and eventually 8.0 for just a few minutes. I originally intended to run for 70 minutes, but I was so close to 8 miles that I ran for a couple of minutes more to hit that mark.

The bad news is that I have a couple of major blisters on my feet. They are in the exact same spot on each foot. They are on the inside of my foot. As you look at your feet, trace from your big toe down to about the widest part of your foot.... that would be a blister for me. I bought some thicker socks today hoping it will help. I've not had any knee pain since running in these shoes, so I'm hoping the sock change will do the trick.

Jeff, what kind of bladder do you run with? I went to Galyans today per your suggestion and they have tons! The lady said most people prefer the backpack style. Also, what capacity do you have? The one I was looking at was 1.5 lliters. I'm thinking that would be plenty, but I really haven't thought about it.

Wow ... great job. My running buddy is having some it band probs so I have been a real slacker and have only run a total of 12 miles in the last two weeks. Maybe your success will get me back on track.

I know you didn't ask, but I had the same problem with blisters and got a pair of wright socks. Made out of cool max and they are double layers so the friction occurs between the layers. Haven't had a blister since. The running store told me to stay away from cotton. Guess that is just an invite for blisters.

here is the link for the bladder I have. I really like the side cinch compression on it. As you drink you can easily reach down and tighten the straps while running and it keeps the load snug so it isn't bouncing up and down. I haven't tried the backpack style.
