Help! I saw a mouse in my house yesterday! I am looking for suggestions on how to get rid of it! I have little kids, so definately do not think that poisen is an option... I have a cat, but she apparently is no help either!

I hate mice! We live on a marsh so we get a mouse or two every winter. We use the glue traps. Under the stove, under our whirlpool tub, in the garage, anywhere you think the little buggers might be hangin out. It's a good idea to figure out how they are getting in. Ours are crawling right up under the siding. We do put poison in places where the kids can't get, like under the tub (they would have to unscrew the side of it). Good luck,
Sheryl:)

I agree with putting poison where the kids (or pets) can't get to it. We've also used the regular spring loaded traps and the sticky traps. With the sticky traps the mice walk on it and get stuck. Someone still has to kill the mouse. (dh or fil's job around here!) I couldn't stand to get within 10 feet of any kind of trap or mouse, dead or otherwise, so I'm not a whole lot of help in this area. Since your kitty isn't much help, maybe you could borrow someone's mouser cat? 'Course there's always the exterminator route.

I can't stand those sticky traps... I hate seeing the mice stuck on them... ugh!!! 8o I'd rather get the spring loaded traps because at least when you find them, their already dead/gone. 8o

We had mice getting into one of our closets and I bought one of those things that you plug in and it sends off high frequency sounds - believe it or not, it has worked!
