I tried that, Renee - seems to be a little better so we'll see. Thanks! :)
You might also try a system clean up... deleting temporary internet files and such. And then doing a defrag of your system. (Start, Programs, Accessories, System tools, Disk Defragmenter)

Okay, I admit I am clueless when it comes to this computer. :tearhair: We run a maintenance and clean up program automatically every week, so I thought that was part of it. I did the stuff Pam suggested, so we'll see if I notice a difference. DH does NOTHING on this computer and is rarely on it. He just uses his Mac at school and knows less about this thing than I do. Anything else I should be doing to keep this thing up to par? ?(
Thanks for the help! :)
I have that maintenance wizard on my puter, and I don't think it works! LOL I would do what Pam said.
At least once a week, delete history and temp internet files
At least once a month, disk defrag and scan disk

If you go to your start button and go to RUN, type in the word msconfig then click ok a box will pop up. Across the top it says System Configuration Utility. Click on the startup tab. uncheck everything except the following: ScanRegistry (leave checked), POINTER (leave checked), and LoadPowerProfile there are two of these leave them both checked. After you have unchecked everything else click APPLY, it will ask to restart windows click yes. When it comes back up it should be running faster.:computer:
