I did this right before I stared my weight loss journey. Since I've not been in complete control lately I thought it would be good to do this again, just to demonstrate my control over food.

Don't worry though... this is not how I intend to lose weight! ;)

Skipping breakfast was easy and I'm past lunch. I think Dinner will be the most difficult. I'm actually going to some friends for a Bible study tonight and I'm sure there will be assorted snacks and beverages to tempt me.

I'll just stick to yummy, tasty, refreshing water for the rest of the day!

I did go out and run 6 miles one day this week and 5.4 yesterday. Not bad considering that I am on vacation. Despite my good motives I have never been able to motivate myself to exercise on vacation. We went to a hotel for a few days in Cincy that had an indoor pool and nice workout facility. I didnt' hit the treadmill once. Oh well, since I'm working the two jobs I probably needed the break.

Well, I will start the countdown tomorrow to 180. That was my original goal and it is time to get back on the path! So get ready for my weekly weight posts.... They're baaacccckkk!

Good luck Brichard!! Even if I could fast, no one would want to be around me - I'd be sooo grumpy!! :{

I've decided to get my butt in gear as well, so, I'm headed to Weight Watchers tomorrow a.m. and then off to buy some Tae-Bo tapes (that's something I can stick with - love it!).

Bathing suit season is only 6 weeks away!!! (at least in my part of the world) :)

Hope the fast went well yesterday. In support of your efforts, I will do the same today. I may drink some orange juice, but other than that--nada. The weight of 180 was on my mind this morning as well so I'm on the ride with you. Good luck. You were on a roll earlier so you know it can be done. I may post more than once a week just to try and keep accountable. I am having a hard time running, so I am cutting back on distance and hoping that will get me out there. I love it once I am doing it, but I do love my sofa and tv.

I made it!

I must admit that it was more difficult then I remember towards the end of the day, but I made it for 24 hours with just water. And any man/woman who can make it for 24 hours without food can certainly reduce their portions on a daily basis. Well, at least that is my phillosophy.

I did wake up at 2:00 in the morning and went ahead and had a bowl of cereal. I was way past the 24 hour mark since I had stopped eating at 6:00 on Saturday, so I gave my body some energy.

I've started the day with a smoothie and feel great!

Go Jeff! Here is some advice that may help:

A: Keep food out of your sight. Stick it away in a cabinet or drawer.

B. When you get hungry... drink a glass of water. You'll be doing this alot!

C. When you feel a hunger pang... pray for help from God.

That is about all I can advise and I wish you the best of luck! You can do it!
