Glad to hear you are feeling better. I think when you can ask the doctor if you are depressed, then you're not really "clinically depressed" lol. I remember when I was diagnosed years ago I was just having headaches all the time and not sleeping. When the doctor began asking how my life in general was, I just broke down and cried not really knowing why. Anyway, I too, am all better. Now all I have to worry about is perimenapause. Yippeee! I'm having my 3rd period in about 7 weeks and an increasing number of what I lovingly call "power serges". I don't really know if it is perimenapause because my mom had a hysterectomy at 28 and her mother died when my mom was 3. I'm the oldest girl so I don't know how early to expect it to happen in my family. My mom was gray at 16 however. Any body got any clues I can look for?

Hi everyone!! Sure is quiet here w/o Ann posting.
Renee-glad to hear your appt. went well. Sounds like the physical therapy is going well. Is the pain in your back subsiding? I understand what you mean about getting stuff done before the kiddos get home. Seems like I don't accomplish anything the rest of the day when the boys get off the bus.
Kat-no help on the perimenopause. Ask Ann those questions when she gets back.
It is a pretty sunny day here in Colorado. I stopped and vacuumed all the dirt out of the van while I was in town. Gosh it is dirty for being brand new in July. Anybody know of a good cleaner to use on vehicle carpet?

Better go vaccuum!! Have a great one y'all!! :)

I hear you with the premenapause... cause I'm IN manapause and it's no picnic. LOL I'm either skipping months of my period all together or, I'm having two or three in the matter of one month. (Quit one day and three day's later you have it back again) Hot flashes... no sleep, very emotional and easily stressed out. It's funny because all but one of my sisters are all going through it at the same time so we've really got to watch out when we get together. (so we don't "look" at each other the wrong way LOL) Sometimes I cry at nothing... I hate being around myself sometimes, and if I could I'd walk away from myself to give me a break from myself... LOL Can't exactly expect anybody else to want to spend a lot of time with me when I'm like this either. (they understand though and are very good about it) Thank God I'm not ALWAYS like this though. Like I said, it's no picnic. LOL Good luck!!! :)

Diane P. You've raised a thought for me. I wonder if the reason that I can't sleep for the last few weeks has anything to do with menopause? I have always felt the cold so much that I have about 6 blankets (comforters, afghans, occasionally sleeping bags) on my bed and lately I've been kicking them off. I was thinking that I'm either extremely stressed or going insane. Maybe that's not it...I keep thinking I'm too young, but....ROFL !!

Hi Cathy... It could be. There are nights when I go to bed and I'm SO cold... I wear my long jammies and have two blankets on my bed. Halfway through the night I wake up SO (EXTREMELY) hot I feel like my top is going to pop... LOL I kick my blankets off just to wake up an hour or two later FREEZING to death. Too hot with the blankets too cold without them... so I end up covering only half of me. LOL Yep... it's really a lot of fun... NOT! :)

Okay, I hear the no fun part (I really need some sleep!), but I have to admit the months that I've skipped are wonderful. The inability to plan is a bit of a challenge, but I do look forward to having the whole period thing over with. I've talked to some friends who feel so sad at the thought of not being able to have more children, but for me that's not an issue. Having no relationship kind of puts that out of the question anyway. And having teenagers makes me sure I don't want to start over....EVER!

Glad you are feeling better this week Renee.
We are seeing some grass (although brown and soggy! LOL) around here this week.....finally the snow is melting. Hope it goes away at your place soon too.

Renee... I'm so glad to hear that your appointment went well. So, he thought you were crazy, huh... so what else is new? Just kidding you know... LOL :) :) :) I hope the antibiotic for the sinusitus helps you quickly... I know first hand just how painful that can be. :(

How many more appointments do you have left with your physical theropist? It's nice to hear that you're feeling stronger. I've never heard of the exercises with a rubber band. Is it a hand type of an exercise, like a squeeze ball or ??? Glad that the St. Johns wort is helping too. I know a lot of people who take it and they swear by it. Have fun cleaning your house... it's seems like a never ending job, doesn't it? LOL :)

Renee - Glad to hear you talked to your dr today and that things are going better. My mom has been having problems with her shoulder and I think they had her doing some stuff with the rubber band thing?

To the menopause conversation :) ...I think there was a woman on Oprah recently talking about different things to help with menopausal symptoms (claims a person could almost totally avoid "hot flashes"), but I can't remember her name. I wonder if there would be info on Oprah's site?

"peri" is the time when you body starts having all the estrogen fluctuations signaling the beginnings of menopause. It can last anywhere from a year to (are you sitting down) 15 years!!!!!!!! Generally it is irregular periods, some hot flashed all the fun stuff. For me, my period has just gradually disappeared but I have night sweats, cant' sleep, moodiness and major league bloating when my period comes (it is still every 28 days it's just maybe an hour now). Have you seen your doc? You could have fybriods..that makes you have alot of periods too.
