Wow, this week is going by fast! I am having some friends over for playgroup around lunchtime today. I need to get a few things at the grocery store.
Is tv all new tonight?
I loved the Great Race last night!
I hate that the weeks go by fast (did I just say that? LOL) because I suffer pretty badly with the kids on the weekend. LOL
Today is ds speech session and then I have to contemplate if I want to go up to base to get a lot of blood withdrawn. :( I'll probably talk myself out of it and go out for lunch!
Why the vampire thing, Amy?
Slept till 8, only to find out that dh isn't feeling well, so now I feel guilty! LOL
Not much on, gonna attempt a slow walk on the treadmill. I am missing it so much! DD has a scrimmage at 5:30 and DS has piano till 5.
Ann-all the bloodwork my gyn wanted to do Tuesday, but didn't have time for.
I'm going to the gym after lunch, then I promised a trip to Chuckee Cheese to the kids. What was I thinking?? It's raining here again so we're stuck inside. Trying to come up with something for dinner so I might skim some dinner threads for inspiration.
Sheryl:)
Morning all....got my work out over with....showered..bathed DD....got my laundry started....dh is out in the field today again...:yippe: alone with the :doggie: from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm...:happydnc: too bad I am saddled with tons of laundry.....oh well....
we are dog sitting this weekend...so my SIL will be bringing another 100 pound golden retriver over sometime this evening....kids can't wait.....
nothing special for today...I need to call my (no laughing) weird neighbor....hes like a mountain man....kinda scary, but harmless...to ask him if he would like some fallen trees in my creek....lol....dh pleaded with me to call...since mountain man likes me better ;)
so that's my day......
Amy~ go get that blood drawn....the sooner you do the quicker you get results back.....ok there is my lecture for the day....
Amy, listen to Renee, she's absolutely right! :newwink: 'Course, if it was me.... I'd be heading out for lunch!!!! :D
Nothing much going on here today. The weather is really gorgeous. I might have to go grocery shopping later, but we'll see. Mom is taking the kids on a walk right now so things are reeeeeally quiet! Makes for a relaxing way to start the day. :)

It's raining here. Ds has preschool this afternoon and then after that kindergarten roundup. Should be fun. :)

Funny about "mountain man"... LOL Have fun with the dog sitting! I'll be getting my mom's dog soon and I'm not really looking forward to it. My mom has spoiled him SO much... :doggie: SO when he's here with me... he expects me to do the same. It's only for 2 or 3 day's... so not too bad I guess. LOL Hope the kids (and you) enjoy the extra dog... :)

Too late-the lunch won out today! LOL Ds and I had a really fun time together. I promise to go up first thing tomorrow after I drop dd off at school. :) I never had blood drawn with ds around. Should be interesting. Knowing him, it will be better than watching construction guys working. LOL

LOL... I figured lunch would win out. :biglaugh: I'm glad that you and your ds had a good lunch together. :) No excuses tomorrow... I'm sure your ds will probably enjoy it a lot more than you do.

as for the Amazing Race it wasn't a kick off pit stop so everyone is still there.....
Will is going to loose his ex wife to the other guy though you watch....
Renee I too had to laugh about your mountain man. I have a similar story. Last year this scruffy little "mountain man" knocked on my door and asked if I'd like him to cut down a dead tree in my front yard. I didn't know him from Adam. After questioning him, he seemed to know what he was talking about. This tree was huge. Well 2 days and $600 later it was gone and we still had a house. Well this year we have 2 more dead trees that need to come down. All are red oaks that the beetles have killed. Well the mountain man shows up. He meets with dh and the neighbor because one tree is on the lot line and the other near it. This time he says $700 for both (not as big), but we have to take down the neighbor's new fence and put it back up. The neighbor comes back over and was not impressed with the mountain man. He gave us the number of a tree trimmer in town who'd done work for him. We told him we understood his concern, but that he'd done a good job for us in the past. Dh called the other guy who would do the job for $750 and had a bucket truck so the fence would not have to come down. He also said he'd take them down for $400 if we wanted to get rid of the wood. Mountain man wanted the wood and would not leave it. Dh has a guy at work who will come get the wood and we are keeping some. The neighbor agreed to go halves since one tree was on the lot line if we did not use "mountain man". Now we just have to wait for drier weather so he can get in with the bucket truck.
The bad news is we've lost 5 red oaks since we moved here 8 years ago. The good news is all the others are post oaks and the forest service says the beetles are infesting those.
It was a BUSY day at my house today. I have 5 dck's today total, off and on. I but only 4 at one time. Made the day go by pretty quickly. I started to type a post earlier, but then the door bell rang- so I had to go.
I'm recording Survivor right now so that I can post a little. I'll watch it with dh this weekend and since I read who was kicked off I'm really looking forward to watching it.
I'm done with the dinner dishes, but I have some paperwork to fill out, e-mails to write and laundry to do. I'm actually glad that it's rerun night so that I can get it all done without any distractions! :)
Jen, how are you liking doing the daycare????
For the most part, I really like it. I have gotten lucky and have some really good kids. I think I'm going to like it even better when I have just my part-timers because I will have some free time, but I'll also still have an income. My full-timer's mom is really unhappy with me right now because I'm dropping him, but I was actually being nice. See, I had been thinking about dropping him for over a month now, but waited until after his 2nd birthday. It's very hard to find care for children under 2, but not hard to find for kids over 2. So I actually was doing her a favor by waiting to drop him until after his birthday. She probably doesn't see it that way though because now she has to find a new provider. Ok- enough rambling! :)
Sounds like it is working out nicely.
I am sure that her "ego" is hurt a little "why doesn't she want my kid" kind of thing.
