How do you get those little icon thingys to appear within the text of your message? TIA

Just type the smilies the old fashioned way, with the colon and the parenthesis and it will change it to the smiley. :)

Also, look at the bottom of this page and you'll notice a thing that says "Smilies are ON", click on that and it will show you all the smilies you can do.

I think I have the smileys down, now how are some of you able to type in bold??

Down at the bottom there is also a link that says vB Code is on. Click on that and it will show you how to modify your text with bold, italics, and hmmm... something else too...

Also, you have the option of putting in a new subject each time you reply. That is automatically bold.
