View Full Version : Mickey ~ Another Hair Question for ya...
ok, so now that I am growing out my hair...and the color is semi right.....the texture is still straw like somedays.....it feels thin...do you think it will always feel thin...is there a shampoo you could recommend to make it fuller or seem that way? any advice would be helpful....
I am not Mickey, and I only pretend to be a hair dresser at this site, but I LOVE the Amplify line by Matrix http://www.salonprof.com/matrix/Matrixamp_products.htm.
Also Infusium is a great condition for dry hair, but over conditioning can make fine hair limp! LOL

I've tried Amplify at my brother's house (didn't use it long enough to notice a difference or anything) and I've used Infusium and don't see a thickening quality, but the leave-in stuff is good for de-frizzing, imo.
Came across something at Sally Beauty Supply called Excelsior's Millennia Mud (http://www.cachebeauty.com/excelsior.htm) (I used the one in the tube). The woman who worked there recommended it--said it's their best selling reconstructor. I really like it.
Thanks you two....;) I'll go to Sally's next week.....:)

YOu didn't like the Amplify? Did you try to root lifter? Shampoo is shampoo, I didn't notice much diff either.
I didn't think the Infusium thickened much but it is a great conditioner for straw.

I have VERY dry hair and I use VO5 Hot oil treatments every now and they really help. The first time you use it, do it 1 treatment every 2 weeks, then you can go down to using it once a month. The good thing is that it doesn't have to stay in very long. You can wash your hair, then put in the hot oil treatment and continue with your shower, rinse when done!
