I apoligize for bragging but I am so proud of my dd that I must let it out. She has a a rough year in gymnastics this yea, started out with mono, and has been growing, so some skills are like she must relearn them with this new body. Well all year at competitions she has been coming in around middle, which is good, but yesterday she came in 1st all Around, what a way to finish off the competition season, she is so pleased with herself, and as mom and coach I'm so proud.
Because of her sucess we had her picture taken by a photographer at the meet(my avator right now)

I am also so proud of one of my other gymnasts who has worked so hard this year and progressed amazingly, she qualified for provincials,(just!) of all my gymnasts she's the one who so deserves it because of how hard she has worked. I don't know how I will tell her today that she made it in without breaking down in tears. I get so emotional for these girls.

Wow, congrats to your dd!!:happydnc: I bet she was excited with the news

My dd had a compitition this past weekend also. She did pretty good considering the outcome of it all

Floor routine: (and with a new program) 1st place
Bars: 1st place
Vault: 3rd place
Beam: 5th place which we consider wonderful since she fell off twice, the second time landing on her shoulder and straining the muscles in her upper back. We didn't realize right away that she was hurt because she hopped right back on, completed her dismount and walked back to her group. I noticed her go right to her coach and start crying. Thinking she was just upset because she fell off twice I wasn't too concerned until they brought her over to me.
She ended up with a 3rd place overall finish. She has two more compititions coming up. One the end of May and one mid-June.

Ryleigh: Congratulations to your dd!!!!!!!!!
What level is she competiting this year?
Hope her shoulder is feeling better soon, but obviously a true gymnast, injured but determined to finish her routine.
Good luck to her for the rest of the season.

dd is a tough little cookie when it comes to illness or injury. Nothing slows her down. I did keep her off gym for the week though even though she was begging to go. She'll go back Monday, but will have to take it easy.

Fern: She is competing in Cadet 9B right now, but has testing coming up in a few weeks. We haven't told her yet because she will press herself too hard.
