View Full Version : A new cycle....

began today (sorry if it's too much info).
So..... I kinda tried breaking it to dh that I feel like I don't want to try to get pregnant anymore.
He didn't like that. He really wants me to try one more time.
I just have too many reservations. Emotionally mostly. But his age is playing into it big time for me. He'll be 42 this summer - that puts him at almost 50 by the time a baby would start kindergarten!! :\ He doesn't have any problem with it, but I sure do.
Oh me.....
Ah, and last night at dinner, my sweet dd asked when she was going to get a baby sister - "I sure would like one, Mommy". "I would rock it and read to it and feed it...." OUCH! My heart broke.
This is so unfair! I'm holding all the cards here and what I think I want isn't anything like what my family is telling me they want!!!
AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!
It is totally your decision. The emotional and physical toll is on you only and no one can make those kinds of decisions for you or make you feel bad. If you feel like you are not ready now or ever, people should respect the trauma you have gone through and take your decision at face value.
((((((Jen)))))))) I can honestly argue both sides of the coin, but what it bottoms out as is what is best for you!!!!!!!!!! None of us can tell you what is the right answer. BUT we are here for here for you to bounce your thoughts off of.

I'm sure you all are sick of hearing every little step I'm taking thru this, but thanks for letting me vent and sharing your opinions. :)

Wonderful advice from everyone...again. :)
Jen ~ Like Ann I could argue both sides for you, but ultimately it does come down to what you want. Follow your heart and remember we're always here. I have gotten thru some difficult times with the help of everyone here, so don't hesitate to let us know when you just need to vent or when you want some advice. :) {{{hugs}}}

Not sick of you yet! LOL :)
Seriously though, you need to do what feels right for you. Easier said than done I'm sure. But emotionally and physically you are the only one who truely knows how you feel. Listen to yourself! (((Jennifer)))

Karla put it wonderfully!
I don't think that this is something that someone can offer you advice on, though (should you or shouldn't you?)...even if they've been through it themselves. It's a very personal decision.
And I'm not sick of you either! ;) It's sometimes a lot easier to "voice" things here than to people who know you in your "real life". Post whenever you need to, Jen.

I am sorry you are going through this Jen. I can only imagine the void you must feel for your miscarriages.
I am hoping you can come to peace with whichever decision you and your dh come to.
Keep coming here and talking with us!
