I had no problems with it, and used it for 3 years. Great for your complexion, too! :) I went off it about a year ago to see if it would help me lose some weight. I've done okay (mood wise) without it, so stayed off. My complexion is kind of "tempermental" and definately flares up before my period. That's when I think about going back to the Ortho Tri-cyclene! LOL Hope it works for you. I never had problems being on the pill.

I went back on the pill in Jan. to see if it would help my mood swings and it definitely has. (But then again we have more daylight hours now, so that maybe helping too) I hope it works well for you!

Sounds familiar. Is that the one that comes in a rectangular package? If so that's the one I was on when I got pregnant the first time. I had had break through bleeding that I mentioned to the doctor. He told me not to worry about it but I've since heard that may be a sign that the perscription isn't strong enough.

A couple of other things to mention. St. john's wort can speed up the rate that you metabolise the pill and make it less effective. Anti-biotics can also make it ineffective.
