I know I spent hours thinking up new names for myself as a kid, but I'll be darned if I can think of one of them now, LOL! I have neither a great like or dislike of my name, it's just there.

I'd like to be Margaret...with "Meg" as a nickname. Love it! LOL...I'd always wished that you could at least spell Mary more creatively...Mari...Maree... LOL!

I have a Margaret in my family and she HATES her name with a passion. As a kid she was always teased. She's in her early 20's now and still doesn't really like her name.

My mother and my sister both were given the name Margaret... Peggy for short.
I always wanted to be Julie or Nancy when I was a kid. Now I can't think of any other name for myself......well except Your Majesty/Highness, but those are pretty much taken! LOL

When I was young, I wanted the cheesy "in" names like Crystal or Star, went through a "Summer" phase, and Sunny (from Bosom Buddies)! Then wished my last name was Sunshine or Rainbow! LMAO :lol: My parents were far from hippies! I don't really mind my name, but do wish it was something less common. I named dd the name I love, Reece.

I also used to wish my name was more creatively spelled... Aimee, Amie, Ami, Ame...aaaccckkk!!! Anything besides what it was!

Of course I can't think of a one! :rolleyes: Well, maybe AnnW!!! :D

I think I used to love the name Kristin when I was little, but am now content with mine as I don't run into many Karla's and I like that it's with a "K". :)

Yeah, different spelling would be neat. Let's see... Paam. Nope. Pame? Pamee? :D Guess I'm stuck with it. Pamela has always seemed like a stuck up snob name (no offense to any Pamela's out there!) or something. I'm too tomboyish for it (sheesh, even at my age!) :rolleyes:

When I was little I always wanted to be a Tammy... as in the Tammy movies. Now if I could either REname one of my dd's or change my name I'd change it to Katlyn or Kaeleigh... :) I never liked the name Diane... :(

After I saw the movie "Little Darlings" I wanted to be called Angel for the longest time....geesh...what a sap.....I loved that movie...that and "Foxes"

I have always loved my name but my husband is the only one who uses it and not all the time. Patricia is the name and I got Patty, Paddy, Pabs, but never Patricia!! In High school I made everyone call me Pat. Then Saturday night live came out with the Pat character I thought I was going to die!!
The only time I got Patricia from my mom was when I was in deep doo, doo.
When ever I do a name tag I put Patricia on it. It's funny when you go to a party of family and friends you can tell who new you when by what they call you.
