I had contractions all day and ended up at the hospital yesterday at 4:00. The watched me for 3 hours and then gave me something to stop the contractions and sent me home. ARG!! They said it wasn't too soon for me to have the baby..... but they'd rather I wait longer if I can. So I'm up cleaning and doing laundry and off to one of my mom's groups today hoping to get things going again!!!

Have a super day!!

I remember the whole day before I went in to have dd #3 I had contractions... went to bed that night, woke up at 1:00AM and had to race to the hospital. :)

I noticed angie hasn't been in here yet today... so here's hoping that she's in the hospital having the baby. I hadn't realized it was her time yet. :) Time sure did fly... at least for me it did. :biglaugh:

Wow ... That would put you a couple weeks early wouldn't it?

They didn't tell me to take it easy. I can't figure out why they stopped me? I am 36 weeks and 5 days, well, 6 days today. I didn't start contracting again today :(

Kacee - I was kind of dissappointed that they didn't just let me go. I'd really like to have my dd's birthdays farther apart.

My c-section is scheduled for May 10th. My doctor has said "unless you go before." So now what does that really mean? My next OB appt is the 29th.

Angie, that must have been exciting and disappointing all at once. If they didn't tell you to take it easy, maybe they would let you progress the next time you have contractions. 37 weeks doesn't seem to be that early.

Take care of yourself!

Angie, all my friends that wanted to trigger labor would go out and have a big Mexican dinner and then take a walk around the block! :)

Yakking up mexican food in the middle of surgery doesn't sound like much fun? LOL

If it happens again I won't go to the hospital until it is too late!

I've been having more consistant contractions tonight, nothing big though. Oh well....

That's EXACTLY what happened to me!! I wasn't trying to go early, but we went out for Mexican with friends and the next day at noon, my water broke! (dd was 1 week early)

Angie, I was scared to death about letting a 'big burrito' go in the delivery/operating room!!!

My dd was a c-section - you mentioned yakking during delivery - do you puke during c-sections??

I guess maybe I should go for the Mexican food. If I don't go into labor the heartburn may kill me!! LOL

I puked during both my c-sections. I swear it is that nasty drink they give you to neutralize your stomach acid. Gag-o-rama. And...nothing like puking when you are strapped to a table on your back. I wonder what that looks like on my insides from my OB's vantage point? hmmmm..... I think I may have said too much here lol.

Ewwwww! That would be gross!!! :\

They didn't give me anything to drink..... maybe because yours is planned... although, I was in labor 12 freakin' hours, seemed like they had an idea I was going to go by c-section.....???? I dunno.

They made me drink it both times, one planned, one not. I asked if they gave that drink at the hopital I'll be at this time and they said yes. blech! lol

Gag!! I got sick with ds #1. He was an unplanned c-section. So with ds #2 I told them I got sick the first time and they gave me something for nausea, but it wasn't anything I had to drink. Tell them that crap they make you drink is what's really making you sick and you want something else! :D
