I have not run for a week an a half. I ran the 10 miles a couple of Sunday's ago, and just didnt' have any time last week to go. The job interviews are really eating in to my already tight timetable, but they are more important right now. I had every intent of running this last weekend and getting back into the swing, but I played basketball on Saturday and really did a number on my back. My back had not hurt this bad for 7 years when A.R. and I were in the fire. When I get really stressed it is really easy for my back to just bail on me.

I have really been sleep deprived this week thus far. I am taking a class for my last airplane qualification at Fed Ex, but this class is during the day. I normally dont' get any sleep Monday night before I go into work, b/c I have my weekly Toastmasters meeting and it just takes me a day to readjust my sleep patterns from the weekend. Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but I have not been able to "cheat" any and sleep in during the mornings b/c I've had interviews or meetings yesterday and today. After the meetings I go to class, and our trip to the hospital took away the only other opportunity I would have had to catch up. I have literally only had three hours of sleep the last couple of days and I think I'm about to start seeing little green monkeys running around! lol :) I also must confess to consuming large amounts of caffeine and more sugar then I normally ingest just to keep moving.

Now for the good news! My back is feeling much better, and I am getting ready to go take a nap! If I can rest enough, I'd love to go for at least a 3 mile run tonight just to get back into things.

I will tell you some more good news. I am soooo motivated to start getting off the caffeine, running, and eating well. Not eating well and not exercising makes me feel like crap!!! 8o

:D :D

It sounds like you've been pretty busy, Brichard... Sometimes it's just hard to find the time to exercise but I know what you mean about feeling crappy when you don't. Also... I find when I get out of the habit of exercising it's even harder for me to start again. 8o It doesn't take long to get lazy. LOL

Good luck on the job interviews... anything look promising? Keep us updated on how things are going for you.

Diane...

At this rate we will both be walking the mini...I haven't run for about 10 days. My right shin is giving me fits (annoying with little pain until I run--oh well). Hope you get some time to run soon. Keep us posted on the baby and the job progress

I am amazed with how busy you are that you are doing anything at all. These stresses will be for a short time. IT is good that you realize the benefits and get back to when you can. Keep listening to your body and do it when you can.

We would love see your totals on our "Miles of movement" Thread. Post when you can.
