Thanks! I do take it a day at a time. Now, when my friend visits, I still get up and go. It does wear me down faster.
I think that is one of the reasons I am so tired today.
Good luck with your walk today!!!

I was a slug yesterday, just a funk.
Today, I got up and did my Tae-Bo and will walk between getting home from work and picking up dd at school.
Still on an eod schedule right now, did 2 miles yesterday at a better speed..no ankle problems.

I've been doing about 2 miles about 4 times a week, and then I do my tae-bo on the other days. Now I have to fit my Curves work out in too :)
I did five miles on the treadmill today as well as my weights. Yesterday I did step aerobics, tomorrow I'm hoping to do the stair machine and then hopefully it won't snow and I'll be able to do several miles on my rollerblades.

Way to go ladies!! Keep it up. I know how important movement is!! As my father was sick the less he moved the harder it was for him to move.
Movement is very important.
Today, I didn't do so well. I did 30 mins. on a joggers tramp. Any idea how much this would be? I am thinking 2 miles????
When my walking buddies aren't out sure makes the routine harder. I don't feel that I should walk the neighborhood at 5:30 by myself. So the jogger tramp it is.
Keep up the great week ladies(and gents!! I know y'all must be out there somewhere training)

It takes me approximately l5 minutes to walk 1 mile... and I walk at a fast pace so... I'm assuming that you might have done around 2 miles... :)
You're right... movement IS very important... when my dad was ill he moved very little and it got to the point where it was very difficult for him to move at all. :( I know when/if I don't exercise... by the end of the day I feel so stiff as well as tired... :\ Not a very good feeling.
Hope your walking buddies are back with you tomorrow...

Congratulations on loosing the 8 pounds... WAY TO GO!!! :happydnc:
I love it when I go to put a pair of pants on that were once a little on the snuggy side and... they're loose!!! :yippee:
I've got a pair of jeans that I saved from when I weighed 200 pds... just as a reminder to me. 8o When I put them on now, snapped and zipped, they fall down to the floor... 8o They are a good reminder to me what WILL be if I don't keep up with my good eating habits and exercise.
Monday... 4 miles
Tuesday... 5 miles
Wednesday... so far 2-1/2 and will do my other 2-1/2 later on tonight.

did about 2.5 on the treadmill, getting my pace faster. Did get a weird cramp in my thigh, so I just slowed down for a while and it worked out. Did my free weights, and walked the last 5 minutes backwards.
I walked twice yesterday and once so far today. Not sure how far it is, I'll have to take my truck out and measure the distance.

My usual 3 miles this morning. My walking buddy was there this morning. She is a doctor, so once a week she is out cause she is on call. She is very dependable though.
So far this week ... 11 miles
I am still having pain in my right foot though. I have a planters wart that is not giving up with out a fight. I hate to go to the doctor and get a hole put in. That will make it harder to walk.
Plus, I hate doctors offices!!
I am also thinking that it is time for a new pair of shoes. These are nine months old. I usually put in about 12 -15 miles a week.
How can you tell when you need a new pair? The soles look fine.

Your doing soooo good Kacee... :yippee: I had the beginning of a planters wart about 4 months ago and right when I thought I'd have to go in... it went away. It hasn't come back yet so... I'm feeling pretty fortunate because it was really hurting. :(
I usually get new shoes every 2 to 3 months. 8o I don't really know how often they suggest you buy new shoes or how you can tell... I just make it a point of doing it. When you consider how many miles you walk a day/week... month, they really get a lot of miles put on them. The tread on some of mine have actually started wearing off... LOL (that's a good indication that your in need of a new pair) Take care... and I hope your wart stops giving you problems. 8o
I suppose I should add mine to the list today...
Monday... 4 miles
Tuesday... 5 miles
Wednesday... 5 miles
Thursday... so far 2-1/2 and again... I'll do the rest tonight.

I didn't do ANY 8o walking today besides my normal/regular getting around town walking. LOL I went to my mom's early thismoring and her and I walked down to one of her neighbor's house to check out her Garage Sale. I bought a home interiors picture for $8.00... I haven't hung it up yet but I've got the perfect place for it in my porch. It will get hung up tomorrow. :)
Then we went to a few garage sales... out to lunch and then I came back home where I helped dh down a tree in our back yard. Ugh!!! I am SOOOOOO sore... I actually think I got more exercise today doing that than I usually do when I walk. My muscles already ach/hurt... and I'm going to be SOOOOOO ready to go to bed tonight. :) All of that bending and squating... lifting all those heavy tree limbs. I think I was useing all different muscles than I usually do when I walk. :) It was nice feeling getting that tree down... :)
