Yikes! I used to shave my pubes (those OUTSIDE the bathing suit line!!) every day, but since becoming a single mommy (which equates to celibacy!), I figured why bother?! So now, I have to bother! I have to be in public in a bathing suit in 7 days! I started last week so my skin would be used to shaving there againg, but it's not cooperating!
Anyone have any good ideas to get rid of it?! :D

Neosporim works well. You could also try calamine or some sort of other calming type lotion.

How about Aloe Vera... that might help it. Neosporim always works good. :) Good luck...

I'm not sure if this will help or not since I've never tried it but maybe put a wet washcloth as warm is comfortable on the area and leave it for awhile. The reason I suggest this is that I worked with a black man that did that on his face. Some men with coarse curly hair, especially black men can have a problem with the cut off beard hair curling back under and forming a bump until it breaks through. There's actually a name for it that starts with a B. I think the reasoning is that the hair could more easily break through the softened skin. That would seem to fall along in line with the neosporine. That would keep the skin soft.

I've heard that some women need to be very careful what shaving cream they use, and don't use shampoo (What I usually use!). I think that had to do with the area around the follicule becoming irritated and/or infected. I guess the neoporine would help with that as well.

I've read that using a loofah helps. Gets rid of the dead skin and helps the hair go the correct way instead of curling. I've also heard that ISN'T a good idea because loofahs harbor more germs.

I use an electric razor and no longer have problems.
