I've not had much time in the past few days to respond to posts, but I am keeping up with what all is going on! :)

Anyway, this is driving me crazy! We've not had rain in months (wildfires galore!), the dust is horrible and the wind has been non-stop. I'm getting tired of the kids writing their names in the dust on the tv, tables, etc. 8o I could dust four times a day (don't worry, that wouldn't happen in my wildest nightmare, lol) and it still wouldn't make a difference! Is there a product out there that will actually repel dust? If not can we all work on a formula and patent it?

I'm sitting here sneezing as I write this, LOL!

Not that I know of!! It would be nice. Do you have your windows open??? Here we have to have the A/C running so the windows closed do help!!!

At least you know who is writing their name, next time give them a dust clothe!!!

I love those swifter thingees. I have dd and her friend race to see who can get it the dirtiest!!! Needless to say I don't have a great dusting schedule so it is not hard for them to find the dust!!

I am dreaming, kat, LOL! :D Kacee, that's a great idea about giving the culprit a dust cloth!!! Love it! I'll have to try the Swiffer thingies. Are they mitts? We have swamp coolers out here so the windows are open and the cooler is bringing in outside air. Definitely does not help the situation!

I think housework is just getting me down right now. I washed kid prints and dog slobber off of our sliding glass door and five minutes later the dog comes with muddy paws and swipes at it. She knows how to open the door if it's unlocked so she was checking. If something would just *stay* clean for a little while maybe it wouldn't be so bad!

I love those swifter things, they get dog hair up better than anything I have seen!!!!!
Do you have to keep the windows open with a swamp cooler? We stayed at a place in Colorado last summer that had one and we didn't open the windows. We are staying at a place down on the Frio River this summer that has one, and if we got to have the windows open, we will DIE!!!! LOL

None that I know of either... :biglaugh: I'd be going absolutely crazy living there with all that dust... and I know that I'd be dusting constantly... hate the stuff!!! If anyone dared to find/write their name in my dust they'd definitely have the dusting rag in their hand. LOL :)

Diane...

I'm definitely going to get Swiffer then! Our dog is shedding her winter coat and leaving hair flying everywhere! :)

Yes, you're supposed to open windows with the swamp coolers. Not wide open though, and not all the windows. You're supposed to pick strategic windows to allow a draft to blow through from one side to the other. Not sure which ones are exactly strategic in our house, lol! :) If it's humid where you're going the cooler won't do a thing. :(
