I am in charge of planning the Teacher Appreciation week for our school. I also want to do something special for my two kids' teachers separately because they are both such wonderful people. I need some "school-wide" ideas to present to the PTA on Wednesday (May Eigth) and I need some individual ideas for myself. I have combed the web and compiled lots of ideas (staff breakfasts, luncheons, car washes, notes, candy, banners, etc) but I really would like to hear from educators directly what they think....what would really say thank you? I am sure every teacher has enough coffee mugs and t-shirts and apples, I want something really unique that is going to touch their hearts. Please help if you have any ideas!!

I know you were asking for educator's opinions, but I have worked alot with my school's teacher appreciations..they seem to really like the catered luncheons.

btw..most people read this board by "view new posts" so I deleted your duplicate posts. :)

At our school everyday has a "theme". Today was "Pencil Day"...everyone was to bring their teacher a new pencil/pen. Tomorrow is soft drink/beverage day....bring the teacher a can/bottle of her favorite beverage. Wednesday is "homeade card" day....just as it sounds. ETC...It's a fun week full of manageable items.
