I'm having everyone over for mother's day/Dd's 4th birthday. I am not lifting a finger however!! I can't wait to see what happens...LOL

I hope everyone has enjoyed this special day. I know I sure did. I love getting spoiled. The kids gave me a bouquet of mini carnations, mixed colors. and a necklace (diamond flower with ruby center stone) Dh gave me (and Bil gave his wife) a gift certificate for a weekend of pampering in Niagra Falls. Can't wait to use it.
dd made me the cutest terra cotta flower pot at school. They were able to decorate them any way they wanted and then planted pansies in them. It is sweet. A real keepsake.
ds made a class recipe book and pot holder with his handprint on it. He decorated the cover himself. It is also laminated so will last forever. I loved it so much I just have to share it.

Dd made me a 1/2 dozen cards and wrote everything herself (Happe Muther's Day) !! :) God love her!
Oh, and "Thank you for you kinss." In dd talk that means, thank you for your kindness.

We went to church, came home packed lunch and picked 15 qts of strawberries and had our picinic at the berry patch/farm. Stopped my my mil's and then headed home for bath/bed. It has been a very good day!

Happy Mothers Day....sorry I am late....we had waffles and sausage....both kids made me picture poems....dh framed them...they were wonderful gifts...I have them hanging in my kitchen....:heart: they were going to take me out for dinner, but we opted for chinese take in...it was way better...hung out and just were....its was what it should be....I love being a MOM.....

This cracked me up! I love when they sound things out! My ds made my dh a card while he was in the hospital and it said "I hop you fell better!" We all got a good laugh out of it! :)

8o I thought I had already posted about my mother's day... but I guess I didn't. I picked my mom up from her house and we met two of my other sisters at Old Country Buffet for lunch. It was SOOO crowded but fortunately, my oldest sister thought ahead and got there a half hour earlier and got her name in on the list. My mom and I only had to wait about 3 minutes before our name was called. After I took her to K-Mart where she spent some of her Mother's Day money, and then I took her back to her house. When I got back home I found out that yes... I was going to be going out to eat AGAIN. 8o I honestly wasn't hungry at all... but I couldn't say no so we ended up at Applebee's. After over an hour's wait (they'd lost our name) we finally got seated. By the time I got home... I was SOOOOOOOO happy to be here. Too full of food and tired... I sat my butt down and took a very short snooze, got up and went for a 3 mile walk with dh. It was a good day... :)
