The baby is here and the time is drawing near for me to get to work with the rest of you! I am limited to what I can do right now except to watch what I am eating, but not to under-eat either (breastfeeding.)

Ok, I gained 4 pounds with my pregnancy. Right now I am 18 pounds below my pre-preg weight. I don't really have a total loss goal so I think I may start out with 10 pounds at a time, or maybe a weekly goal would be better? I am going to start walking this week and do some light weight arm exercise. I don't even want to think about how flabby my stomach looks right now. Gag!

Where is everyone on their goals right now?

You can do it Angie!!! Setting small goals is a great idea. Find an exercise that you like to do, and do it. Do you like to walk? Could you get a baby jogger so that you (and Brichard) could take the baby on runs/walks?
I am getting back on track exercise wise. My ankle is finally doing better, and I am almost 100% on the treadmill. I only weigh at my mom's house, and I have lost 12 lbs! Started a new floor tape yesterday, and I can't walk! LOL

Angie, you're a real go - getter! I wasn't even thinking about excercise or weight loss this soon after dd was born - good for you!

Ann - way to go on the 12 lbs!

I'm down 10 lbs and 2 jean sizes. My "goal" is 40 lbs. That would get me back to lookin' good. :brow:
The lbs. are coming off, but the Tae-Bo has taken the inches off.
You can tell in my face (and my boobs - sorry, TMI) especially.

I like how my summer shift dresses are hanging much better now than I did at the end of last summer!

Hurray for everyone. Angie, you are already motivated, that's terrific.

I have lost a couple of pounds (just what I wanted), but I'm really curious to see how my measurements are at the end of May. They measured my body when I joined, and then they do it once a month. I'll keep you posted.

Angie, just a word to the wise: don't forget about what your body has just done for you: produced a beautiful healthy baby, for the third time no less!! Sometimes we focus way to much on what the scale reads and not our overall fitness level, physical and mental.

Be good to yourself and your body. Eat well and only when you are hungry, drink lots and lots of water, and start exercising moderately. When you feel up to it, exercise some more. It'll happen. Just getting started is a huge step.

Ann, Marla, and littlesista congrats on your losses!! Ann isn't 12lbs like 15% of our bodyweight??? LOL!

Kathy, used to be! LOL I put on about 30 lbs after quitting smoking and starting menopause, have not been able to get them off! It was really quite frustrating. I was having all sorts of medical tests done too. I think my metabolism just shut down for a while, and I finally got it jump started again with this new eating plan and changing up my exercise routine.
