We have 3 that we got from my fil and all of them are in our garage. Dh and I just recently talked about bringing them in and having one on each floor.
So, do you have one?? And, if so, where is it?

Yes, in the boat. Honestly, that is were the only one we have is! We really need to get more. Easily one in the kitchen. Since that is the middle of the house and it's not that big, that would probably be the only inside room. But it would need to be a good sized one. And one in the garage and patio would be a good idea. Garage is in the front part of the house and patio in back where we grill.

Yep, we have one just outside the kitchen (fire safety taught us not to put it IN the kitchen since that's more than likely where the fire will be and you might not be able to access it!) and we have one in the garage.
we have lots....one in the kitchen, one out side the kitchen door/laundry room...one upstairs at top of stairs...one in the far bedroom upstaris...and one on the attic stairs......
dh was in a fire as a kid....scared the living you know what out of him....we also have smoke detectors everywhere as well as two carbon monoxide detectors...better safe than sorry...
(but you should hear it hear when batteries start failing) :tearhair:
We have 3. One in the kitchen, one in the laundry room upstairs and then one in the garage.
We have one in the pantry which is just outside the kitchen, smack in the middle of the house (one story). Thankfully I've not had to use it. Yet. :D

We had one in Germany, but we haven't gotten one since we have been back. We were talking about it just the other day, but still haven't gotten around to it yet. We probably should though.

We have one in the kitchen (mounted on the side of a cabinet...right near our "mud room" area. We also have one in the basement, and one in the garage.

We have 2, one in the laundry room under the sink and one in the kitchen under the sink. I really should put them in a more accessible place and show the children where they are and how to work them

I drove into a store parking lot where a store emplyee was trying to put out a brush fire and doing a poor job of it. If I hadn't seen the firetruck coming I was getting ready to take the extinguisher away from him and do it myself! I trained to put out a fire with one (basic training only) so here's a tip. Once you've pulled the pin start spraying in a sweeping motion from the base of the fire. By that I mean from the area closest to you where you can see the ground, sweeping back and forth gradually going further away from you. In AZ we would train with actual fires. Now that's against EPA standards!

Because I do day care I'm required to have a fire extinguisher on each floor... along with fire detector's. I've also got to have monthly fire drills... I've never had to use them... thank goodness. :)
