View Full Version : Father's Day gift ideas
I need some ideas of thinks that my dck's can make for their dads. It has to be something kind of simple, but not too cheap looking. TIA
Hmmmm..... if you could get the moms to bring in plain white t-shirts for the dads the kids could paint their hand prints on them. Ds did this for dh one year and we put "Best Dad Hands Down" on the back.
I've got to get my mind in gear and figure out what my kids are going to do for dh. This time I am *not* waiting until last minute, LOL!

This might work for your dck's....have them step in poster paint with one foot then make a footmark on a piece of bright paper. The words " From the bottom of my soul.....I love you Dad!". Our kids brought these home from K for dh....the teacher laminted them too, so they are good keepsakes. If the kids can write the phrase out it is cute to see their printing....if not even if they scribble their names on it it adds another personal touch.

Last year I had ds' draw a picture of their dad (they each drew their own) and them doing something that they like to do together. One ds drew dh and he golfing....the other drew dh and him at a baseball game. Very kid-like drawings...cute cute cute! Anyway, then I bought very inexpensive frames at Wal-Mart...and framed them. Dh loved them...and hung them in his office. We also made a collage of some old pictures (I usually get doubles) of ds's and dh. We cut and trimmed them to make a really fun picture which we put into another (inexpensive) frame... I think it ended up being 11x14.
