Anyone live in an Apartment....????

its been years, but dh and I have discussed maybe doing apartment living in California until this house sells....as two mortgages would be impossible for us....

my question is....how in the heck do you find a 3 bdr apt....that allows dogs.....I keep doing searches and all I find is small pets under 30 pounds...YIKES max is 95 pounds....any advice on searching? I have been surfing the newspapers via the internet...and have some friends searching out there...but man...this is hard...

my other question is ...do you like it? I would enjoy the no yard work...at least for a year .....

I know I am not much help, but if you can't find an apt, maybe look into renting a house??? We couldn't afford two mortgages either. Yikes!! Good luck!! :)

We've done that each time we have moved to a new city..it's a great way to get a feel for the area you want to live in or find out that's where you DON'T want to live.
Ask your new boss for a name of a real estate agent that works on leasings. Let her do all the work! LOL

Good idea :idea: I am so frazzeled....they are talking about it happening in July and I am just overwhelmed here...can you tell, I should be doing 100 other things....I am excited and scared all at the same time....thanks for the idea....I can search for those via internet too....what an interesting world we live in....you can shop for a house on line...;)

Renee...get a real estate agent to do that! They know the areas. Tell them what you want, how much you want to pay and let them do all the work!!!

OMG Ann am I retarted or what....I'll call dh's boss and let them do this....now that we have agreed not to purchase right away...they can do all the rental stuff....house would be perfect....thanks...I can't believe I am so stressed about this....starting to feel stupid...oh and there are only 18 more days of school so then they will be under foot helping me pack YIKES....

Good luck in your search Renee... In my area they've got rental places for people like you... who are in the middle of a move, can live temporarily until they find what they're looking for. I have no clue how much the rent is... 8o They are almost like townhouses... and surprisingly nice considering the amount of people who move in and out of them. :) I'm sure that if there is anything like that in your area, your real estate agent would know about them. Again... good luck!!! :)
