Just when ya think you live in a safe area!

Yesterday this guys come to my neighborhood selling meat door to door. I of course told them I wasn't intrested and they left. I forgot all about them by the end of the day.
Today a cop shows up at my door while i was asleep (work third)......Hubby tells me they was asking about this meat company and the guys who were selling it. I thought it was strange but put it off as they didn't have the right license or something...I went to a friends to drop something off and her DH asked me what happened in town last night..I had no clue and he says well is it true that retarded girl was raped? Well the girl he is talking about lives right behind me and loves my kids. She is very sweet! I went over to check on her tonight and found out it was true!!
The door to door guys raped her and promised her meat if she did what men and women do together!!!
I am so sick about this...My kids were home when I saw them leaving town...It could of been a child..They obviously went for someone they new wasn't able to fight back!
Now I half want to move. I know it could of happened anywhere but just never would of dreamed it would happen here. 100 people in this town we all know each other to some extent. Sick sick people out there. :(

How sad and scary. You just never know who you can trust anymore. Glad to hear you and your family are ok. Our prayers will be with the poor girl they victimized. What an awful thing to have to go through. Did they ever find the guys who did this? Keep us posted.

The girl is doing ok when I saw her she said her stomach hurt but she was doing alright. They have a good idea who the guys are. As far as solicitation rules. We didnt have any but will now. The company these to were from have been coming here for years. No one would of ever dreamed such a thing would happen. They wont be back I hope!

You've really got to watch who you open your doors to now a days... you can't trust anyone! How awful for that girl, how is she doing? I hope they catch the jerks that did that to her and give it to them good. Taking advantage of a mentally handicapped person is really SICK! Please, keep us updated. I am glad she is ok. I hope they get her into therapy that will be beneficial to her.

Our neighborhood has a solicitation rule that only those who live in the neighborhood can solicit. That way your little girls scouts can sell their cookies!!

I don't know what to say...I am so saddened by your post...there are so many sicko out there....its hard to remember that there also good people in this world too....where are they in situations like this....I hope this girl and her family will recover from this, and that they catch these mosters.

Stasee... I was just rereading this post and was wondering if they ever caught up with these guy's... and how's this girl doing now? I hope she and her family are still doing okay...

She and her husband moved out of town to an apartment for people with special needs...it is a secure building and has security guards on duty at all times.
She wrote me a note the other day to let me know their new address and she sounds much better.
I did find out what the jerk did to her though for sure....
He made her give oral sex and told her that she would get a year supply of meat for it.
He has been detained but is saying it was consensual!!
What a crock!!! any way He can be prosecuted for molestation of a minor because she has the mentality of a third grader!
For now that's all I know. The town has put up 5 no solicitation signs at the entrances into town and everyone was told if you see the van to call the mayor or the cops at once! I will keep you posted thanks for asking :)

I'm glad to hear that things are okay for them... but having something like that happen to you has to be quite devistating. Not to make it sound like what happened wasn't a big deal... because anytime anything like this happens it is definitely a big deal... but at least HE didn't have intercourse with her. The worry of him having passed on any diseases (which he still could have) or getting her pregnant would be a terrible thought. Thanks for your reply...
