Going to some friends for a yard party tonite. They are coming tomorrow to pick up my couch and chair to get reupholstered!!!! And am trying to line up getting the den painted.

Morning all. We have my brother/sil and their four boys here for the weekend, so time in here in limited! LOL Their oldest boy is 16 and loves being on the computer. Best get breakfast on for us all.
Sounds like fun with your dd last night Ann. Sounds like your renovations/improvements are continuing. Good luck with them. Did you ever get your shelving/cabinets in the right size?
Have a great day all. I'll check in later tonight.
:)

Sounds like you have your hands full!
Yes, the new computer desk (the one that dh wanted and the one that was less expensive) fits and was delivered last Thursday...it looks great! I got it all set up and the shelves all decorated yesterday.

Guess I missed Sunday Morning, but hope the rest of the day is great for all. Got company coming for supper so can't chat long today. Just wanted to see what's happening in the neighborhood.

We got woken up early this morning to the sound of fire trucks, ambulances and police car's. I couldn't believe it when I looked outside and saw that our neighbor's house was on fire. I haven't totally gotten the full story as of yet but I heard that the fire started in the bedroom and Kathy woke up to her feet on fire. Were all speculating that it was the electric blanket... but not sure yet. The family was not hurt but they were all taken to the hospital for observation. (smoke) The house is a total loss... nothing left of it at all. :( I can't imagine how they must be feeling right now. All of their important papers and pictures are gone... everything that you can never replace. I'm just so thankful that THEY'RE all okay. I wish I could do something to help... but nobody even knows where they are. Anyway, I'm going to get off from my computer and try to get out of the house for a while. I can't believe it's Sunday already... where has the weekend gone? :) Hope you are all having a good day!!! Take care.

That is HORRIBLE and is one of my big fears!! So glad they are okay, but how sad that they lost everything. I am such a "saver" of stuff and it would devestate me to lose pictures, projects the kids made, etc. :( Let us know how they are doing when you hear more.

I know what a shock a fire can be. How horribal for the family. Glad to hear they are all ok though. Will keep them in our prayers.

My Sunday was pretty good. I actually got to relax for a change.

Coming from someone who "lost everything" it is the old comfortable t-shirts I missed the most!! The pictures are gone and other "memento's" I miss, but it is just stuff. We had lots of people give us their "hand me downs" and it was wonderful. We even had two people bring a new "wedding gift" to replace the old ones since we lost our home 6 months after our wedding. Another thing I really loved was a care package of make-up, lotions, bubble bath, etc.

I am glad everyone is safe!
