dd had a gymnastics meet yesterday morning and did very well! She recieved first in floor, second in beam, fourth in vault, and sixth in uneven bars. She ended up placing fourth overall. She was very excited.:) :D :)
ds discovered that gymnastics is not just a 'girl thing', so now he wants to go so he can get a medal like his sister. The next session begins the end of April, so we are thinking of signing him up.

GREAT job... tell her congratulations! You must be very proud of her! Good for ds too... I hope he finds that this is something he too can enjoy. My oldest was in gymnastis and was pretty good on the balance beam and uneven bars... but was never quite good enough for the competitions. LOL How old is your dd/ds? Let us know how ds likes it! (if you sign him up) :)

Great job! What an exciting time for her! My nephew was in gymnastics briefly and there were other boys in his group. Let us know if your ds likes it if you sign him up. I was always horrible at gymnastics, but wished I could have mastered a simple cartwheel! LOL!

Congratulations to your dd
How old is she? How long has she been in gymnastics?
My dd has done very well at her competitions this year as well and has one more left to go this spring.
Gymnastics is our life lately, my dd has always loved it and now I am the head coach of our club.
It's a great sport, hope your son gets into it too I'm sure he'll love it.

dd says thanks for all the congratulatory messages. She is still showing off her medals every chance she gets. She tuned nine on March 21. My 'big girl' now.
ds will be five on May 3. We are signing him up for gym. tomorrow when we go to dd's practice. I have my hesitations about letting him go, (he's quite accident prone), but will let him give it a try anyway.
He just finished power skating class two weeks ago. He is determined to be a pro. hockey player, so works hard.

Don't be to worried about your ds in gymnastics, they gain so much more co-ordination from being in there. I see such a big difference in some of my little ones who can hardly hop at the being of a session and by the end of the session they can hop with their feet together, A big accomplishment for some. And besides there are so many mats and padding that even if he is accident prone he'll have a soft landing!

I know exactly what your talking about with the medals being shown off, dd got 5 more last weekend. All though these ones are so cool, they have all the apparatuses embossed on it. Was this your dd's only meet this year?
