HUMP day!

we had some wicked thunder storms here last night, I woke up to find my entire bedroom bathed in a lighting glow...it was almost pretty until the thunder.....a little tired this morning...gave up sugar in my coffee, and I can feel it...plus I am not that interesting in coffee more....:lol: ds got off on the bus...it was raining :cat: cats & dogs :dogs: dd and I are doing laundry together...;) I plan on working out after she gets off to school....more packing...boring I know...

I talked with dh last night...he has some great leads...and three apartments he is looking at today....I am excited, because on of them is right next door to the elementary school that was #1 on my list.....:p Keep your fingers crossed that we can get a 3 bedroom....they are hard to come by...the dog won't be a problem at this or a few others...

Rental houses however seem to be hard to come by and NO PETS....weird...

I am rambling...also talked with my niece last night, her soon to be EX has decided that he doesn't want to be her oldest daughters father any more (not his bio child, but has been her father for over 4 years) what a jerk....calling and harrassing my niece and calling my great niece names.....some people...

We had a lot of rain here too last night, but the thunderstorm that we were supposed to get, missed us.

Calling for rain on and off today, but very warm humid temperatures.

Just got the kids off to school, and I'm off to work ....had to take a few extra minutes because I just crashed my baby toe into a chair (yes the one that I broke....and is still healing because I keep crashing it) :rolleyes: :\ :bigcry:

Renee, my fingers are crossed for you...I hope you get the place you want!

I am tired, went to bed at 10:30, woke up at 1 and finally went back to sleep at 4..got up again at 7:30. Leaving for the golf course at 9, dd has a sitter till 1 when she goes to theater camp, ds and dh are going to the Astros, I drive carpool at 4....just love these relaxing summer days!

Marla my toe hurts just thinking of how much that must have hurt for you.8o
I'm trying out a babysitter for the first time today. My kids have never had a teenager watch them, we've always had a neighbor or family. I would like a little more flexibility and the kids are old enough now to give me a report when I get home, so today from 11 -2 the girl from down the street is watching all three of them. I'm a little nervous, 3 kids seems like a lot for a 13 year old girl. She's taken the babysitting classes from Red Cross and seems nice, so we're going for it today. If everything goes ok I think I'll hire her once a week so dh and I can get some more time together.

Good luck with the babysitter... I hope the kids like her and she works out well for you. :) One nice thing about l3 year olds... they're still young enough where they still enjoy playing WITH the kids... where "some" of the older teen's aren't... (more of an interest in boys and the phone) and usually won't participate in play activities with the kids a whole lot. I hope you come home to a good report tonight. :)

Dks slept in until 10:30! 8o Busy week with their cousin here has worn them all out! My sis and her 2 other kids are coming tonight. Her boys bike race, so we'll go to that and then they're all staying over. I think this will be a Wed night thing for us all summer. :)

Busy busy day here! I have 5 dcks plus my own 2. Three of the dck's will be here for dinner and then 2 will leave right after that. The last one will leave at about 10:45. I only have the late one for 2 more days after today- Friday and Saturday. His dad will be home this weekend. :yippee: No more long dc nights! LOL

Ds has a t-ball game tonight and I think dh is taking him alone or with dd. Other than that no other plans for tonight! :)

Renee- it's actually pretty common for rented houses to have no pet rules. Most people don't want someone else's dog to have accidents and chew up their house.

DS had a great round of golf today! They play 9 holes but he was on par to shoot under 100 if he had played 18. Just to tell you how this playing field is..he came in 10th! Lots of good future golfers out there!!! An kid in the 8-10 division got a hole in one!!!!! wow!!!!!

Wednesday is about over here. 15 minutes left to go. This week is Bible School. I've had anywhere from 10-14 preschoolers in my group. I have the (paid) kids who will be entering kindergarten next year, and the daycare(free) kids whose mom's are teaching.

The kids seem to be enjoying it.

Sounds like you all are keeping busy.

Maybe I'll try to post more tomorrow. Dh is wondering if I'm ever going to bed tonight. His birthday is tomorrow so I'd better get off of here.
