Dh and Ds are camping!

I'm not sure how this will go....we are not really the "camping" type of family. Of course, Dh returned very late last night from a business trip...had to work today...was not real organized to leave for camping today. I did my best to have everything ready...hope they have what they need. It is a yucky day to top it all off...rainy/drizzly/cool/gray...YUCK! Dh is not thrilled about sleeping in a tent in the rain...ds can't wait! LOL I told Dh that is is on his way to earning "Best Dad EVER" in his ds' eyes (and in mine actually! I know that there are a million other things dh would rather do this weekend!) I'm so proud of them. Why do I feel so worried? It's just boy scout camp for goodness sake. :rolleyes: Sigh...I hope they do okay!8o :) :nervous: :D

They will be fine!!!! Is this Cub or Boy scouts? DH hated camping growing up, swore he wouldn't never do it, but does it with ds now! LOL I have done it once.

I'm sure they'll be just fine... and your dh just might come home excited about going camping again. (I said MIGHT... :biglaugh: ) 8o 8o 8o LOL I hope they both have a lot of fun. :)

Ds is 8....cub scout age. Dh says that since both ds' will be cub scouts next year, we can BOTH go on the camping trip. 8o Uh...I don't know about that!;) You went once? Once? Hmmm...well maybe I could go once!;) :) (It's a good sign that they aren't home yet...it's been rainy off and on all day...and pretty cool. I guess they must be doing okay. Phew!)

Our cub scout pack does family camp one camp out a year..we went on that one..dd was only about 3 or 4!!!!
I loved the place and if the weather hadn't been so crummy..very muggy, even the camping wouldn't have been bad. Try it..you might be surprised!

Update!!!!! They had a blast!:D Even though it rained one whole night (our new tent held up...no water in the tent! phew!), and rained part of Saturday. I guess the activities were very well planned with alternate stuff for rain delays;) . Dh doesn't even look toooo tired?! Hmmm...I guess this camping stuff agrees with dh and ds. Yikes8o .
