I need a new refrigerator!

well, that should say...I GET A NEW refridgerator....when we move we are selling the one that is here with the house....I have never had a brand new fridge....so

what kind does everyone have, and is it a side by side? freezer on top? freezer on bottom? ice maker? do you like yours?

I prefer a side by side. Got to have a ice maker, and the last one we bought had a built in water filter, which is nice, so the ice doesn't taste funny. You can buy the filter separate and attach it yourself to the water line, but it's much easier to have it already on there.

We had to buy a new one when we bought this house cause the owners wanted to take theirs. We got a Whirlpool side by side with ice and water in the door. I love it. We also have a seperate upright freezer in the laundry room.

When we built this house 3 years ago, we had to buy new appliances...we bought a fridge on the bottom, freezer on the top type. Ours has an ice maker...which is a must have (in my opinion!;) ). Check consumer reports...they usually have good comparison ratings and good tips.

I hate side by sides!!! LOL It's great to have the ice and water in the door, but it can't make up for the lack of space!!!!! You can't even get a casserole dish in one of the shelves in most of them!!!! Unless you have a second fridge/freezer, I would prefer and up and down model.

Ours has the freezer on top with an ice maker. My mom has a side by side. She thought she'd love it and she absolutely hates it for the same reasons Ann mentioned. :)
