Speaker/Sound question

The speakers on my pc have just stopped working. The light for being on doesn't even come on. I have checked the connections and everything seems connected..what would cause that?

Could their be a short in the wires? Or could they have been blown out?

Ann my speakers blew when I moved my pc from the upstairs office down to the kitchen after the reno. Have no idea why??? I think when we went to reassemble it all, I plugged them into something they shouldn't have been plugged into and it fried them. Have you unplugged them for any reason lately (to clean them, etc)?

After checking all the wires going into the PC, scouring the internet for any updates, I finally emailed Gateway, and they told me to disconnect temporarily from the surge protector to see if our power outage had cause a prob..went to do that and opps...it wasn't connected!! uh gee..ya think you need POWER for the thing to work?????:o :o

That is too funny! Just yesterday I tried playing an audio CD for DD (Chicka Chicka Boom Boom) on the computer. Tried 3 different media programs, double checked it was turned on, double checked the speakers were plugged into the computer. Amazingly, all it took after 1/2 hour of trying was to plug in the power!

Today's task is getting the new phone to work. My boss bought two of the same phone and I have one. We can't get any of the three to work!
