View Full Version : Give me some ideas!
We are setting up the playroom. In it so far, is the tv/vcr, nintendo, ds' keyboard, and books. I am going to get one of those wall hanging velcro ball target games..thought that would be relatively safe and something kids of all ages could do.
Also getting some bean bag chairs for them to sit on...might get a small card table for games/puzzles.
Give me some other ideas of games/toys whatever that I could put in there.
Are you wanting the majority of their toys in there or is this more like a neutral place to play? If you are planning on lots of toys you'll want lots of shelves. Or maybe a shelf around the room near the top of the walls to display things. One thing we did in our playroom for a pet net was take a full sized hammock and attach it to the ceiling (with some gathered up on a center hook as well). It holds all of our stuffed animals out of the way but still accessible.

Your post MIGHT get me motivated to get our playrm cleaned out. Do your dks keep most of their toys in their bedrms or are they in the playrm? That is what we struggle w/here. Our bedrms are small but the playrm is huge. Seems to me they'd want most of their toys in the playrm but you know kids.
The hottest item in our playrm besides what you have already mentioned is a huge container of legos. Thats what the boys are upstairs doing right now. I like the idea of the velcro ball target, I might copy it.
I am sure people have better ideas than I do. I will be watching this thread w/interest too.
Happy day!! :)

This probably won't appeal to your ds, but for dd we have a craft table, always stocked with paper, scissors, stickers, glue, markers, etc. Both dds use it all the time, they love having everything right there, and I bought cute baskets so everything is at their fingertips but neat and tidy.

This is simple, but might be fun. You could get one of those nerf basket ball hoops and balls and hang it from the door.

I have no idea's... but just to say that everything you have in there sounds great. Enjoy your room! :)
Yep, this is kind of "neutral" territory...more like their den, but I did want more in it than just the tv. I didn't get the exact velcro target I wanted..turns out it is seasonal and only comes out at Christmas (who knew! LOL) but I did get one that is about the shape of a stop sign..a little lame, but fun.
I realized that we had the table that we used to use as a computer desk and I am going to set that up as an art center.
Keep those ideas coming!!!
