Is it possible or likely to sunburn lips? My lips were feeling really dry while we were camping and I figured they were just chapped. I woke up this morning and my bottom lip was all puffy and hurts! It's not cracked like it's dry or anything though.

Any recommendations what to use on it?

Yes, you can burn your lips. It hurts!! :\ I would try putting Vaseline on them or some type of chapstick or Carmex? I have an herbal Blistex that seems soothing when my lips are chapped or when I have burned them. Hope yours are feeling better soon!!

For prevenative measures I use chapstick. When they are already chapped I prefer vasaline. It seems to heal better.
Good luck

Oooohhhh yeah you can burn your lips. I did this last time at the beach and I think that's what lead to a fever blister - yuck.
I (now) use Chapstick w/SPF - I didn't know the plain Chapstick didn't have SPF.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Linda, I hope they are feeling better :\ You must really be careful in the sun and use a chapstick with SPF protection in it

I've had sunburned lips before too... ugh, it is SO painful. Actually... I put Neosporne (sp??) on them and they got better almost right away. Good luck... and I hope that they're feeling much better.
