Even MORE prayers...

Shortly after my dd's wedding we ended up rushing my mom into the hospital. She was having severe back pain (between the shoulder blades) and has been suffering from headach's on and off for the past few weeks. She thought she was having sinus headach's... but that's not what they were. Anyway... they've already run a variety of tests but so far haven't found anything conclusive. They did fine two abnormalities on both her left and right lung... which they "think" might be blood clots... but they're not sure. (keeping my fingers crossed that that's all they are) They're running some final (invasive) tests today and have guaranteed that they will know what the problem is by the end of the day today. Please say a few prayer's that everything checks out okay... and that if anything is wrong, that it's fixable. It's almost been a year ago to the date that we found out that my dad had cancer... and I don't want a repeat performance. I'm SO mad because my last day of vacation was yesterday so I can't even be there with/for her. Ugh!!!!! I'm hoping that one of my sister's will at least take the time to try to be ther with her when she get's her results. Thanks for all of your prayer's. I'll let you know what they find out.

Thank you all... I just talked with her and of course... they STILL haven't taken her down for her tests. Ugh!!!!!!!:rolleyes: :rolleyes: 8o 8o Yesterday they PROMISED her that in 24 hours we'd know what the problem was... and when you're my mom's age when they say 24 hours... she EXPECTS it to be 24 hours! :biglaugh: Oh well... hopefully pretty soon. I'll let you know when I find out.

Cathy... what did they find out about your dad? I'm saying my prayer's and keeping my fingers crossed for him. Please keep us updated.

Good news--It's not a brain tumor. :) Bad news, they still don't know and we have more tests scheduled next week. The wait goes onnnnnnnn.

FINALLY... we got the test results back. :D She's got pneumonia and because she's got pneumonia (sp???) she's also got pleurisy... which is evidently extremely painful. Anyway.. they've started her on antibiotics and hopefully that will be the end of that. (keeping my fingers crossed) Needless to say... I think we'll all be sleeping a lot better tonight... Thank you all so much for all of your thoughts and prayers... you're all SO terrefic!!!

I guess even though we've been through a lot health issues lately... we've been pretty lucky because everyone's tests are all coming back okay. :yippee: They are still keeping an eye on my sister but it definitely isn't cancer. 8o Thanks for remembering/asking... :)

Diane, glad to hear that your mom got her results back, hopefully by now she is feeling better. One of my grandfather's used to get pneumonia and pleuresy all the time. Is she at home or did they keep her in the hospital?
