Morning all! Just wondering who has grand plans for today? Any romance planned??? I have to live through you all.....my exciting plans include attending dd's valentine party at school this afternoon, and then going to a parent council meeting tonight.
Hope some/all of you have a more exciting day planned!
:)

Good Morning :) My youngest dd was up early and ready to go! She'll have fun with cards at school. They also have a dance for the school instead of class parties, so I'll be there. I'm also taking in the treat bags for her class (they take those home). That will be part of my afternoon and then I play taxi driver for my older 2.

DH & I are going out for lunch so that will be nice...nothing fancy, just no cooking or dishes for me :)
I hope everyone has a fun day!

Not sure what we'll do. Dh has practice tonight and I take youngest ds to his class, so we won't all be home until 7:30 or so. I have presents for the kids that I need to get wrapped. :)

Happy v.d. to all of you!

Don't think we'll do anything. Dh is down with the flu.

Hope you all enjoy the day!

It's snowing and blowing here. I drove through freezing rain all the way home from night class last night. My drfrost couldn't keep up and I kept stopping to scrape my windows so I could see where I was going. The kids didn't start school till 10 this morning. We didn't send Dd to preschool this afternoon because it's blowing too much and I hate to be on the roads anymore than I have to.

Nothing special planned for Valentines Day. Dh and I decided not to exchange gifts since we have too many bills to pay. The kids have had fun making out Valentines for their friends, grandparents, cousins & even our priest!

Hope the weather shapes up soon--I'm ready for Spring.
Have a super day all!!

The kids and I have been busy today. We cut out paper hearts and rolled paper over the dining room table. We colored the paper with hearts and pretend placesettings. We baked heart shaped cookies and iced with pink icing. I am fixing filet mignon with sauteed mushrooms, stuffed potatoes, corn on the cob, french rolls and chocolate parfaits for dessert. We have candles all over. I found some cute floating heart candles that are floating in "red" water, candles that look and smell like truffles (from my SIL). We all have cards and gift for each other.

After dinner we will make our valentine deliveries of cookies, mentioned above, and I made giant chocolate kisses with peanut butter inside them. Mmmmmmmm......... Did I mention I have been on a diet since the beginning of the year and can't wait to "cheat?"

Happy heart day!!

Ds's treats for preschool turned out really cute (the heart shaped lump of red Play-Doh with a heart cookie cutter tied on and the tag that said "I love to Play-Doh with you at preschool). Dh gave me a gift certificate for a manicure and a pedicure. The kids ended up with new red shirts, Valentine boxers, candy, a Rescue Hero for ds #3 and $5 hidden in each of the older boys' box of candy. The kids usually get something from our families, but nothing has shown up so far. I filed a change of address that's not supposed to take effect until tomorrow, but maybe that delayed their gifts. Or, nobody's sending them anything this year LOL! Could be. I've got carpet cleaners coming to the new house tomorrow, utilities being turned on in the next 2 days, and the moving van's bringing all our stuff from storage on Saturday!!! I'm excited, but a little nervous. Gotta find a place for everything and make the new house ours.

Well, dh and I were married 9 years ago today. :) I got the day off from work, so after the kids went to school we snuggled together on the couch. ;) We also enjoyed a private moment of celebration as we sang to each other, blew out candles, made a wish and cut our cake without anyone else! (It has lemon filling to represent all the lemons life has dealt us.) :p We saved some for after dinner, though. This afternoon I went to the elem. school and helped with the class party (which was extremely organized and contained, BTW). We have a guest visiting who came to town for a meeting, and we are sharing our couch and dinner with him. We splurged for something special tonight: snow crab and salmon fillets. :p

Happy Anniversary Ü
I'm glad you and dh got to spend a quiet minute together. Dh and I opened our Valentines gifts to each other last night with the kids and it was chaos! Ds ended up unwrapping dh's gift, 2 of the boys were fighting.....it was not enjoyable. I wish we had gone into another room by ourselves for a minute!

DS started complaining of a tummy upset around 7:30, asked her if she ate all her Valentine candy.she said yes. So..no need for detective work here..well not 10 minutes later she starts throwing up everywhere!!!! for over an hour!!!! bless her heart! Don't know if it's from the candy or the bug that's going around the school. She was just laying on the bathroom floor afraid to move..she's now asleep in our bed.

Sorry to hear about your dd!!! :( Throwing up is horrible - not to say that cleaning it up is any fun either! Ugh! My youngest ds threw up 6 times in the past 4 days from coughing so hard. Hope your dd is feeling better soon!!!!!!!!!!

Let's see, I went to the post office, bank, the hospital to visit my brand new niece who is beautiful:), then to the grocery store and target. Wednesday is my only day of the week w/o prior commitments so it always turns into errand day. Dh and I do not celebrate Valentines day, we both just don't like it. We did let the kids celebrate. Ds#1 made a frame for me. I just love getting these homemade things from him. Ds#2 is teething, I hope he feels better soon because my baby will be One next week:(

Oh, no! I hope she doesn't have the flu! The virus going around here is lasting a week! Poor kid!

After a very busy day with the day care kids and their Valentines party and a few crafts later (along with making their parents valentines) I was WAY too tired to even think about going out to a nice restaurant to eat (looked and felt like crap...LOL) so dh and I ended up at Arby's with my other two dd's. I think we might go out tonight (Timberlodge) instead though... I'm sure it will be a lot less busy and we won't have to wait in line for over an hour to be seated. My sister and her dh went out and stood in line for over 1-1/2 hours... Ugh! I'm glad to hear that you all had a great Valentines Day... hope you enjoyed your wonderful gifts! :)

She kept waking up and vomiting last night till almost one...she is still sleeping now (but the workman will be here soon so that should get her up!) She is having her birthday party this weekend, so I hope this was just a little bug.

That's a shame it wasn't just the candy. I hope she feels good for her party!
