OK, it's way too early for me to be up, but I can't sleep!!! I'll be dead on my feet at work tonight! I was in a funk all day yesterday, but hopefully today'll be better - yelled at the kids all day yesterday :( First, I woke up too late for ds to make it to swimming lessons. Then, went up to my school to iron out some details (which actually went OK and I'm getting excited about school starting again :) ). Youngest ds went to a movie at 7pm with a friend here at the apartment complex (Stuart Little II). He was too tired to go - I knew it would be a disaster, and it was. They fought the whole time over the M&Ms in ds's kid's pack. The other Mom was in a tizzy when they got home. I offered her a wine cooler - they make me much happier these days LOL! I called my Mom and SIL and arranged for middle ds to go visit relative next week - gotta separate these kids for a while if nothing else!

Donna, bless your heart! Sorry yesterday was a mess - glad school stuff went well. Hope today is a better day!!

We're off to the movies this a.m. and then I'm not sure what else.... dd has dance tonight.

My dh went for his physical yesterday and I'm proud to say he's in the top 5% of men his age. Low blood pressure, all that good stuff. He's getting ready now to have a stress test and cholesterol screening done. Hope all of that goes well.

Have a good Wednesday everyone!!

TxMom sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Sound like around here. We are busy cutting hay and seems like everyone is bringing there ds, and dd and grandchildren with them to work. Plus I have 2 ds. What a day it was. 9 dks. They was into everything possible. I was so happy for everyone to call it a evening.

TXmom I live in Texas too. Just moved up here. I was in the Hill country for 3 years. I loved it. So pretty and peaceful. Now we are Northeast of Dallas. Its ok. But I sure did love the Hill Country. But South Louisiana is really home.

I hope you 2 have a wonderful day today.

Littlesista06 I hope you all enjoy the movies.

Bye for now Gwen

works in Houston. She lived in Houston for a while.

We live above Sulpher Springs TX in a small town called Pickton. I love traveling from San Antonio through Houston going home. Always something to look at. Now from here down to south LA its not much to look at. But as long as I stay sort of close to LA I will be ok. haha I have a 20 year old DS that lives in my home there and works. So I don't want to get to far.

have a wonderful day.

It's my last day of recouperation before I have to go back to work tomorrow. :-( So the kids and I are going to the library, then home for lunch, then the beach. We're trying to figure out which beach to choose. Aaah.... what worries we have in the summer. lol. The humidity finally broke last night so it's going to be a gorgeous day in the 80's and sunny. Have a great day!!!!

Rainey and icky looking outside this morning... I haven't been outside yet to see what it feels like but it looks like a good day to stay indoors. :)

I've got my neighbor's visitation to go to this morning. Dh is doing to go first and then when he get's home I'll go while he watches the kids. I wish we could go together but that just isn't possible. I sure will miss this guy.. he was such of a wonderful man. He never had a bad word to say about anyBODY or anyTHING... he was always so positive and inspirational. I was glad to hear that his ds will be keeping and staying in his house...

Dh and I will be picking my mom up and taking her to Menards after were done working tonight. She bought a new comforter and curtains for the spare room and it clashes SO bad with the green wall color... so now she's decided that she's got to paint the room. She's very excited about trying her hand at painting... seeing my dad was a painter/decorator... he never let anybody else in the house touch a paintbrush... that was HIS job. LOL I hope it's as fun as she thinks it will be. LOL

We got woken up AGAIN last night to the phone ringing... I answer it and they just hang on and say nothing... This is the FOURTH night it's happened. The first time it didn't happen until 5:00... the other three times it happened anywhere between 2:30... 3:00. 8o 8o I "think" I know who it is 8o and when/if it happens again I'm going to tell him (by name...) to knock it off. I think that if he knows that I know it's him he'll stop doing it. If it's not him... well then someone will just thnk I've totally lost it! LOL One good thing is that whoever it is at least calls early enough in my sleep cycle where I can still fall back to sleep. If it were any later I'd probably just lay there the rest of the night and wait for my alarm clock to go off. :(

Otherwise... there is absolutely nothing new going on around here. I will hopefully have a nice/quiet and non eventful day... 8o I'm already looking forward to the weekend... Hope you all have a great day!!!!

Diane...

It's going to be hot here, again! Upper 90's and HUMID!!! Guess we'll be swimming. :) I was thinking last night about how this has been the easiest summer ever for me. My dks (2 boys) are 6 and 8 and play together soooo nicely! They just play and play and play! The t.v. goes off before 9 a.m., and for the next couple of hours those 2 just have the best time. It's so rewarding to see. My youngest ds thinks his older brother is his best friend. (Awwwwww!) Oldest ds won't admit it, but you can see that he adores his younger brother. Makes my days truly my own. I can clean, scrapbook, etc. and no one bothers me because they are bored or because they're fighting. My dks don't like to run errands (when did that end???). They also don't like to go out to eat 8o . Whose kids are these??? They LOVE to be home! But nearly every day I "torture" them by making them go on an errand with me, and even go out to lunch! ;) . Once you get them there, they're fine with it. Dh works from home now, so some of the time I can leave them here while I run to the store. I start inservice again on the 19th....and school starts on the 26th, so I only have a couple of weeks left. Boo Hoo!

Our neighborhood deck "round robin" is on Saturday night. I'm in charge of the dessert, and have decided to try the AnnW Trifle. Sounds delicious. The kids are having ice cream sundaes (Make-it-yourself!). All of the other families are having appetizers at their houses. Hope the weather is good!

We had thunderstorms in the wee hours of the night, but the sun is shining now. :yippee:

Mary - My boys are the same way - act like I am torturing them if I make them go somewhere with me, but once we get there they are fine. Oldest ds is the worst with this.

Donna - Hang in there! Hope today is a better day! :)

Diane - I hate those late night phone calls - I always think it signals a family emergency. :( Sorry about your neighbor. Glad you get to make it to the visitation today.

Morning all. Gotta get some housecleaning done today....my sister arrives tomorrow am. I'll get the camper freshened up for her to sleep in.

After that maybe the kids and I will go for a bikeride. It is supposed to be a beautiful day.

Should be able to pick up the van this afternoon. I got our current van all cleaned out last night. Even though it has given us alot of grief, I might shed a tear when we finally drop it off. My brother (who was killed 5 months after we got the van) was the one who helped me buy it. Kinda like losing a little part of him. :(

Busy day here. I got woken up by the phone at 3:30 this morning. My dks were spending the night at a friend's house and my dd wasn't feeling well. :\ She's had a rash on her face and I've been trying to get her into the dr for 3 days now. Other than the rash she's felt great. Last night her stomach was upset. Finally got her a dr's appt for this afternoon. After picking her up though I couldn't go back to sleep. Finally got back to sleep and the phone wakes me up at 6:30. It was a mom looking for daycare for her 2 girls for the day. Her provider is sick today. I did take the girls, but really wasn't too ready for them as my first scheduled dck's aren't supposed to be here until 8:45 this morning.

Anyway, dd woke up feeling great but still has the rash. Ds will be at our friend's house all day. So it's just my dd, some dck's and me today.

Both dks have soccer tonight and then Big Brother is on tonight!

MaryL- My kids are little house mouses too.

I got lots to do this morning. I work as a personal care Aide though the state and I have to mail in my time card only I've lost it. I went to call my client's case worker and the lines been disconected. (Not a good sign.)

DH birthday is tomorrow and I'm making him white chocolate cheese cake. Thanks for the receipe TXMom!

Then I got loads of other chorse to do before the kids and I Walk down to my client house to make her dinner.

Good news though- DH fixed my spell checker!

JAK- I hope you find out what's wrong with DD. There's something called Fifth's disease. The symptoms are quite mild, but it's not good for women in certain stages of pregnancy to be around a child while she still has the rash.

Ann, he turned 42 on the 26th.
LindaM - hope you're feeling better!
Diane - hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.
Renee - I'm impressed with how on the ball you are with everything you're getting taken care of!
JAK - my daughter had a weird rash on her face, arms and upper thighs last summer - we figured it was Fifth's disease too - felt fine, just flaming red rash.... hope she feels better soon.

MaryL, I have to start inservice next Thurs. & Fri. out of town, then the 15th & 16th at school and school starts the 19th. We will screen kdg. the first week and they won't start til the 26th, but the room has to be ready.

Ds starts band practice for football games Mon. He'll rehearse every day from 9 - 3 til the 14th. When I'm not at a workshop I'll be getting that room ready.

:bawling: summer's over :bawling:

We are taking the youth group to Branson for 3 days. Leaving on Fri. morning. Man! Summer really is over for me. Where did it go?
I want to go back to the beach.

Dd just got back from the dr and the rash is some sort of viral or bacterial infection (can't remember wht dh said). Dd is now on Zithromax. Hopefully that does the trick and clears it up!

Didn't it seem like we just cleaned everything up for the summer?? I'm already thinking of bulletin boards for the beginning of the year...UGH! ;)

OH!! is it bedtime yet?? I'm so tired. I worked today. It actually was a fairly easy day and all the kids took a nap. Not all at the same time, but pretty close together so I could rest some.

Took the kids swimming at the pool tonight. Since we have a family pass we figured we'd better make use of it.

Right now they are being somewhat wild and don't want to go to bed. Dh and ds #1 are at a Boy Scout meeting.

I have be up at 6 tomorrow to open again. Just thinking about it makes me tired!

We only have 2 weeks till school starts. What I'm most concerned about it having money to buy school supplies and clothes!:\

have a good night and a good day tomorrow.
