View Full Version : Friday!
Good morning! I see Im the early bird today. Reminds me of being in North Carolina and Kathy and I were always the early birds. LOL
Dh called this morning from Kosovo. It was really nice to hear his voice. He said it was "different" there. He also told me to expect combat pay in his paycheck. I didn't ask him to elaborate on that because I just don't want to know. :( Im not sure how often he can call, but I now have my cell phone and I won't ever miss his call.
Im hoping today is going to stay nice because the kids and I need to get out of the house. We made the mistake of being inside most of the day and it wasn't a pretty sight! LOL I think we are going to go to the zoo. That should be nice for everyone.
What are y'all doing today?

Good morning Amy.
Glad to hear you got a call from dh. I hate when Tim travels so you have all my sympathy!! Hang in there Babe!! I understand what you are saying about getting out of the house. Sometimes the change in location makes all the difference in the world. mil, sil and I all took the kids (all 4 of them) to the Denver Zoo, Chuck E. Cheese's and toys r us yesterday. All in all it went better than I thought it would.
Have a good day today!!

Good morning! I'm SO happy that today is Friday although the weather here is very gloomy. The temperatures aren't bad... but just wish the sun would come back out.
Amy, I'm always at a loss for words when trying to reply to you're posts. I feel SO bad for you :bawling: and I wish I could do or say something clever that would help take away all the pain your feeling. Just know that we are always here for you when you need us. I can only imagine what you must be going through... I've got to give you a h#ll of a lot of credit for taking it as well as you are. Hang in there! {{{AMY))) :)
Morning!
Amy, did you tell your dh that you damn sure should be getting combat pay since you are alone with two kids!!!! LOL
Glad you heard from him. :)
Not much on today, ds is home with me..he seems better just worn out. Getting my hair cut at 5 (hate that time but only time I could get in for over a week!).
I can hear the sadness in your post and can tell how much you miss your dh, Amy. Sounds like you've got a nice day planned for yourself and the kids. Here's wishing you good weather, and Enjoy!
Yes the more you stay inside the worst it seems to be....LOL....Hopefully you can keep busy and the time will go by faster...remember that we are here all the time...{{{{{{{{{{SMILES}}}}}}}}}}...
Raining here, and we are stuck inside today....Loved Survior last night, was totally shocked that Jerri was kicked out...I was cheering and high fiveing my dh...LOL...I really didn't like her.....please tell me that Jeff didn't leave his wife for her.....eeehew
dd had an accident on my bed last night...LOL...so we are doing laundry and picking up toys today....dh feels sluggish, and I told him to stay home and relax....poor baby....I mean that sincerely...he has been under so much stress lately and he rarely feels lousy health wise, so he is underfoot today also....
hoping to get to the stores today and get dh and dd some pants...LOL....
hope everyone else has a productive day.....

Morning all! Last day of spring break and snow is forcast! UGH! :frosty:
Two of the kids have bad colds, so probably not much will get done around here today. Oldest dd want to go to the mall.....she discovered she has money in her piggybank and just HAS to spend it.
The only big plan for today is cleaning the kids bedrooms, I was planning on making them help, but because they aren't feeling good  I guess I will do it myself.
Amy, glad you heard from dh.

So glad you heard from your dh. It will be easier for you to get out and not worry about missing a call from him since you have the cell phone. That will be nice so you don't feel like you are waiting around for a call from him and then worrying everytime you step out the door. I think you are handling this so well and I give you a lot of credit for being so strong. I don't know how I would do it. :( Hopefully the time will go fast. Have fun with your dks today!
You all have got to stop being so caring because you are making me cry again! LOL
Im going to try and be more optimistic here because in order to survive this, I need you guys to be your normal, wonderful, funny selves and not people who will cater to my pity parties. It makes it all too real for me when you express your sympathies towards me. Does that make sense?
I appreciate you all so much!! So now onto the happy times!!!!!!

Hey here is one more pity party for you. I am glad that you heard from dh. I am so glad that you are taking it as well as you are, and I hope he hurries home. My day was ok. I got puked on at work by one of the kids, but hey I had to go home to change so I got out of work for a little while. Other than that I am glad that it is Friday. I plan on relaxing this weekend.:)
Good Afternoon! Amy, I'm so glad you heard from DH and you have the cell so you can always be reached :)
I won't get mushy...read all the posts and decided I'll just tell you this....Baseball season opens here on Monday!!!!!!! LOL! :) It's also suppose to rain/snow in Cleveland that day...ick...does that make you happy?
:biglaugh:
Does it make you want to :bounce: ?
And how about this guy just for fun? :frog:
As for today, I spent the morning getting groceries, going to the bank...running in other words. I really need to go load the washer and sweep...hiss, boo.....this is more fun! :)
Oh, and I love your signature, Amy!

hey all!!!
Ds stayed at his grandparents last night so just dd and I went to playgroup this morning. I cleaned out my van and shampooed the carpets/mats. All I have to say about that is gaaaaaaaaross. I think pigs live in there when we are asleep!!
I will drop dd off at aforementioned grandparents later this afternoon. Then dh and I are off to db's 31st birthday party. We are having his party in an airplane hanger, watch Casablanca and having moroccan food catered in. Should be one groovy party.
Dk's are sleeping over so dh and I will be alone tonight. Well, unless dd has a spiking fever and I have to run her to immediated care like the last time dh and I were going to be alone in the house.
It is beautiful outside!!!! Have a great day!
Thanks-thats MUCH better! LOL

It's what we're here for babe!!!! :*
Angie, neat party idea. I spent my day in transition conferences for next years upcoming students who are already receiving spec. ed. services in preschool. Of course no one told me until 8:20 this morning that I'd be doing that beginning at 8:30 or I'd changed my lesson plans.
I was in conferences until 1:30 and had a 15 minute burger for lunch. One good thing is that I didn't see any kids that would make me :nervous: . Most were just receiving speech therapy.
Now it's the weekend. :happydnc:

Angie r ~ so how was the party?????
Leigh ~ puked on eh? Don't you just love that part of the job?:crazyroll
I've been lucky so far this year. although at Christmas time, one little boy in my class was sitting on my knee while we waited for Santa. He got so excited when Santa came in that he wet himself, (and of couse on me as well). Yuck. :(
Since there was just an hour till I was scheduled to go home anyway, I just got off early.
The joys of pre-schoolers. Got to love them:biggrin:

Quite a few years ago I had a little one who got so nervous when it was her turn to go sit on Santa's lap that she wet all over HIM... I was SO embarrassed :o He had another day care he was suppose to visit after he left my house... poor guy had no choice but to go probably smelling like a toilet. LOL Yes... the joys of kids!!!
