Good morning everyone. Happy Saturday morning to you. Usual events going on at my house right now (dks playing, dh sleeping, me on the computer)
It calls for a great weekend and I am so excited because we actually have a long weekend....civic holiday on Monday, so 3 days off work :yippee:
No real plans this weekend. In-laws are babysitting tonight so dh and I are going out :)
What's up with everyone?

My FIL will be coming in today for a visit. He is over from Ireland and will be spending the night with us. He has been here in the states for 4 months. I think he must be getting ready to go back to Ireland.
I hope to take the boys to the carnival today sometimes.
I am glad Saturday is here. And its break time. We have been cutting hay. And my sinuses are all messed up.
I signed up to be a Chemo Angel. I am really excted about that. If I can brighten someones day during Chemo I will try my best to do it.
Well I am off looking for a huge cup of coffee.

Gwen, what is a chemo angel???? My mom has gone through chemo a couple of times (she has non-hodgkins lymphoma). The name makes it sound like a wonderful thing to do.

Dad didn't get discharged yesterday--probably Monday, so I have lots of unexpected free time. I'm going to visit him, then going to a play tonight. Kind of like vacation.
I got a call setting up a 3rd interview for the job. Then 5 minutes later, someone else called to congratulate me, and tell me that the interview is 'just a formality'. They are getting ready to ask me to come back to work early....8o 8o , but only a couple of days earlier than planned.

We have had 2 days of reprieve in the weather and today we are going to Colorado Springs, to the park, and having a picnic.

Dh is at a bball game, dks are still sleeping and I am enjoying the quiet house. Started some laundry (ugh!) and I need to pick up around here....dks obviously had lots of fun playing with their cousins last night. 8o We may head to the lake later today. My parents won't be there and I told them I'd head out at some point to mow for them. Not much else planned for us.

Gwen - I am also intersted in hearing more about what a chemo angel is. :)

Really quiet here! Enjoying my coffee. I think I'll just do some errands today!! Maybe read some. Nice quiet day!
It's alittle cooler today...so maybe I'll sit outside and enjoy it!!!

Morning all!!
Not to butt in, but I believe a Chemo Angel is where you are paired up with a person who is undergoing chemo therapy. You send them cards, gifts or whatever to cheer them up and give thme encouragement. I heard about it when I was working on that fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network. I think there is a web site about it, but I don't the addy handy. If I find it I'll post it.
I've got the washer and dryer running, swept kitchen floor and got dd's birthday invitations put in the mail. I went to take out trash only to find one bag was split open and for the life of me I cannot find my trashbags. I'm afraid dss packed them to take along camping. I already had camping trash bags packed for them! Guess I will have to make a trip to the store today.
I hope to get the kitchen floor washed and the house straightened up some more. The kids want to go swimming I think so we might do that . We'll probably go to church tonite too.
My mom, SIL & niece went to Grand Island today to meet my sisters and a niece so they could shop for candle lighters dresses for my sister's wedding. Mom told me last night I was invited to come along. I'm flat broke but I want to go SO bad!!:bigcry:
It hardly seems fair that dh gets to go do things he wants to do and we're out of money when I want to do something! :{

Gwen-what a neat thing to do with the Angels. I know some people who do that.
Well mail is here, better go see if by some miracle someone sent me some money to go shopping with!!! ROFL!! (Yes, I'm delirious!)

Morning all....well we are off to the my nephews 5th birthday party :party: should be fun....going to stop and get some real coffee at Starbucks on the way ;)
kids are excited about seeing thier cousins and Aunt and Uncle again....I am excited too....should be an interesting day....

Change of plans today...youngest ds is sick :sick:
He has a fever of 101, his throat is sore and he is laying in bed.
Dh cancelled his parents for babysitting tonight, and we are just having a home day instead

What a bummer!! Hope your ds is feeling better soon and you can reschedule your night out. :\
Youngest ds had a temp of 103 the other night, but woke up fine the next day. ?(
