Sorry I am no help - I agree about the clothing for girls and right now I am thinking I am pretty lucky to have 2 boys!! Good luck!!
i know exactly how you feel. Try http://www.healthtex.com
There is a sale going on (look in there clearance section). They are the only ones that still have "little girl" looks to me.
You just now discovering the slut clothes market?? LOL
I have had better luck at Target, Kohl's or the department stores for dd...Gap and Old Navy are the worst, but they are great for ds.

LOL well Wal Mart was our only shopping resource in CNY...I could steer her to the department GIRLS...and get away with something decent....
Now every where I look its HOOCHY CLOTHES....YUCK...going to try Target, and the healthtex site Amy passed on....this is terrible....I also agree...Gap is great for ds.....go figure....
having problems shopping here too!!
I can find nice clothes but in the 5 or 6 yr old size range but when you hit for an 11 yr old, there is nothing nice! Costco had nice jeans but the shirts were all striped and she will not wear those, (boys wear stripes!!) or they are that horrible fleece that piles after the first wash.
We don't have any of the stores here that you named AnnW, but my sil makes frequent trips to the states and always brings home my girls nice things from Old Navy, wish we had one!!

I know what you mean Renee! Dd will be12 this fall and the clothes in the stores for her are horrid! We try to stick to jeans and basic t-shirts. Dd who is 10 usally just wears whatever older dd has grown out of.
Are those knitted long sweaters popular down there. That is the only thing dd is begging for right now...thinking of getting her one for her bday in September.
Good luck with your shopping!
:)

I haven't had much of a problem finding things but know what you mean. I shop Goodwill and literally was shopping years in advance. DD (6) is now wearing clothes that I bought when she was born. Things like Levi's and classic Disney stuff. She's getting into the glitz and glitter age so I'm sure that will end soon. I do see cute things at Target and Wal-Mart. The neighbor girls (7,7,10,12) are always very trendy looking (to MY mind) yet age appropriate. I think they mainly shop at Fred Meyer.

I usually make out like a bandit for ds there. I can get sets (shirt with matching pants) for $8.99 there with free shipping. Getting a good deal is my entertainment. :D
