Hi y'all. Well, I logged on tonight, for the first time in almost two weeks, and went to "view new posts". Oh my! 165 new posts it said! There is no way in he** I'm going to be able to read all those, so I picked just a few. Anyway, just thought I'd let you all in on what I've been up to lately. I got buried in a book after rediscovering my local library. Then I ventured out (without actually going anywhere) on a quest of personal discovery. Would you know, that after fifteen years of trying to change, I finally succeeded in changing from a "type A" personality to a "type B!" I am so proud of my accomplishment!

Also, today I applied for a new job, which pays higher than the one I currently work at, and offers full time with benefits. I was only the second person to apply, so they said they will let me know by Thursday. Please keep your fingers crossed for me! This new job could really mean a lot for my family.

Anyway, I'll keep ya posted. Talk to y'all later. I'm still on my "quest", but I just wanted to check in.

Good for you!!! I have been on a quest on and off for 3 months! LOL My goal is to be grateful for everything I DO have everyday, get fit again, grow spiritually and comfortable with my situation.

I'll keep my fingers crossed about the job for you too!

Amy/CO- Do you have a time frame for reaching your goal? Could you squeeze in a solution for sibling rivalry, and a cure for "idon'twanttogotoworktodays"? LOL

I have been keeping a gratitude journal since January and I love it. I will admit to slacking the past couple of nights because I have felt really grumpy, but those are really the days I should be doing it to help me out of my negative slump!

Sometimes it's hard to tell, especially without hearing inflections. Besides who'd believe that this board is full of people who've mostly never met? It surprises me that there is so much fun, joking around and real support from internet friends. It's pretty cool!

Good luck with the job MK! I have been reading too :read: ....not how to change me, just idle fiction that takes me away from the day to day grind.

What kind of job did you apply for?

I just got a job with the park dept. Its real part-time but its during the time the kids are in school. I check in on monday and start soon after.
