Wow....I've never started the daily thread! This must be my lucky day...(or unlucky if I'm up and all of you are still sleeping! LOL). It rained like crazy last night...and might storm again today! We're all so :) because we needed the rain so badly.
I'm going to go into school this morning and drop off a few things. Next week I have to be in everyday setting up my classroom. Can't believe that this summer is winding down.
Went to see Spy Kids 2 yesterday. It was a cute movie. Dks enjoyed it.
Mornng. Lazy day, just woke up! I have laundry to do, dd's dance registration, and a meeting tonite here for the bingo night I am chairing at school, but not much else.

Wow...sure is a lazy day here...I would still probably be sleeping if the Fed Ex guy did not wake me. :o I must have looked lovely. LOL.
I have so much school work to do in the next few days...but school is out next tues...yippy! And I've decided to go travel all over NY/Ct to see all my friends ...I have 2 weeks off. It should be fun.

morning....laundry day for us...I am off to Walmart to get some things later....tired this morning....PMS to the max :lol: been fooling around with my new avatar but dh made it to big so I am trying to figure out how to make the file smaller...argh....
dd wants a bath....need to walk the dog too....
I start work on Thursday and I am getting excited...I thought I would be working in shipping or data entry...but was called this morning and asked how I felt about answering the phones for a week while the receptionist is on vacation ...then off to Accounting....wow 8o I was totally thrilled....get to sit down and use the adding machine...part of my perfect job description is a desk, 10 key, phone and puter.....got it all now....LOL...wish me luck that my skills aren't too rusty....
anyway...off to the bath room for dd's bath....:)

Dh is at football. Tonight we are heading to the fair. I can't wait to eat there. :drool: :rolleyes:
Vea - Have fun!! Are you going to check in with us while you are gone? Or are you preparing yourself now for withdrawal? ;)

Morning all. I am supposed to be resting with my leg up, but I am like Kacee and want to keep going! :lol: My sciatica has been worsening over the past week and today it is really hurting. Trying to get dh motivated to do my daily chores for me. We'll see how far that gets! :lol:
Ds is having a friend over for the afternoon. The girls might be headed over to gramma's for the day. They are all outside right now with frogs that they have caught....they've given them names, made a little pond for them and are trying to catch bugs for them to eat! :lol:
Guess I will settle in with a book this afternoon and rest.

Wow I ddi not even think of that!!! Hmmm...let me think...well there will be like 4 days in the middle of the 2 weeks where I'll have access to a comp....I guess that'll have to hold me over:( .
I guess I'll have to prepare for the withdrawl!!!!!!!!!

I like the book :read: idea :idea: take it easy on that back...have you tried those therma wraps.....stetching is the only relief I find when I am going through it....argh...take it easy Darlene...:)

Okay I finished my book....now what??? :lol: I am baking cookies too....wanted a snack. :D
Think I'll turn on the TV at 3 and watch Rosie, then at 4 Oprah. Leftovers for supper, so I don't have to stand to make that.
My back isn't too bad yet, mostly just my leg that aches and feels like dead weight.
Keep posting ladies so I have a reason to sit and relax!

Monday is a "work in the classrooms" day...Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are meeting/inservice/hopefully some time to work in the rooms days....and Friday is an open house/organization day (day parents pay tuition, etc). School starts the following Monday!

:yippee: I'm finally able to sit down and post! I've tried 3 times now and just when I get ready to type something happens and I have to get off the computer! :( I have 3 dck's right now. Yesterday was an insane day as far as dc calls. Started at 6 am and didn't quit until 8 pm! I have two girls just for the day while another provider takes the day off and one boy who's provider lost her license. (Not sure why she lost it!) I'll have him today, tomorrow and then all next week. Then he's starting at a new providers house. I have 3 more dck's coming throughout the day and the last one leaves at 7 tonight.
It's finally sunny again! :) And I hoping that by this afternoon the sun has dried out the playground enough so we can go out and play. Went for a walk this morning and the kids didn't seem impressed!
After dc tonight I have no plans! I could do some laundry, but I think I'll just veg out in front of the tv.

It's almost supper time. I got on the computer with the intention of working on my Avon newsletter. I've been on an hour and haven't gotten to it yet.
I worked an 8 1/2 hr. shift today. One of the daycare girls had a birthday today so we made a cake. I also made some playdough for the kids to keep them occupied. I'm so tired and come home to ds #2 that has a stomach ache and doesn't feel good. No dishes were cleared out the dishwasher from supper last night and the sink was full of the days dishes!!!
My house is a complete disaster but I'm too tired to tackle cleaning it now. I have the next 2 days off so we'll see if I get anything accomplished on it then.
School starts Monday so the plan is to get clothes and supplies Thurs. Then Saturday I get to go shopping with my 2 SIL's with NO kids and NO dh's!! I'm so excited I can't wait!!!
I think the chicken is about defrosted so I'd better get supper started shortly. I have lots more posts to read though.
Spent another day at school. Finally got everything cleaned and disinfected. Got my little center areas decorated and stuff on the walls. Went through files and pulled out things I want photocopied for the first quarter, but am holding off sending them to the office till I have a better handle on our numbers. Tore apart the first Sing Spell book and got all the pages put together and in my file cabinet ready to pull out for each lesson. Did some sorting,cleaning and reorganizing in my closet. Tomorrow I think I'll go in and get my bulletin boards put up. Then that's about as much damage as I can do until I get student names.
I'm a little bit ticked off. Still haven't gotten a welcome back letter from amin. telling about the inservice days (which I can only assume will be Thurs. and Fri.). I looked on the proposed calendar and the inservice days were TBA. Word of mouth is Thurs., but nothing officially announced. Would serve them right if no one showed up. Open House is Fri. and that was listed on the calendar.
We do kdg. screening next week so I won't know who my kids are till next Thurs. Then we'll have Fri. to get names on everything you can think to put names on. That is always a time consuming tedious chore.
We got some needed rain today. A few thunder showers. When I came home this afternoon it was 69 degrees. Felt great.

How in the world do you keep it all straight when each day is different? :crazyroll :newwink: Glad to hear it's going so well!! :)

Believe me you have to be very organized!!! I actually have a daytimer that I use just for daycare. I only write in pencil because you just never know what might happen! :) It can get crazy at times though... in July I cared for 28 different children!

I really don't get bored very much and I really really enjoy my free time!
I don't even have very many regular dck. As of now I only have 4 on contract and they aren't here very much (just the way I wanted it!) all the others are just drop-ins or temp.
