View Full Version : Hump Day!!!
This week seems to be going by more slowly for me. Still can't believe school starts next Monday. I am in total denial! LOL
Woke up at 5:30 bright eyed and bushy tailed...really didn't want to wake up that early! LOL
Not much on, laundry, carpet cleaners coming to do some spot cleaning..the silly dog as been peeing in the house lately, getting my hair trimmed and the roots done today (going to have her put in some more highlights too). That's about it.
Hope ya'll have a good day.
Cathy...how is the new job working out on day 2?

Got home late last night from the fair. Checked in here and then tried to go to bed, but I didn't feel good so I was up until 2:30. :\ Gonna do a little laundry today, make muffins with dks, head outside and then run errands later when dh is home. :)
Ann - Are your dks getting excited for school?
DD is very. DS won't admit it, but I think he is ready to go back too, not sure if he is excited, but at least ready! LOL

That always helps. Hope all goes well next week and there aren't any major morning battles! :)
I think we're actually going to have some rain today and we sure can use it. Cloudy, has rained a wee bit, and there's a nice cool breeze, even though the temps are supposed to be in the low 30's (celcius). Was going to take ds to the batting cages today, but I guess that won't be happening. I need to get out and get some errands done, then dinner at my Dad's tonight and BB3 later.

Morning all. Cool here too and rain in the forcast. Gotta get to town this afternoon to pay some bills and get some groceries. Other than that, more rest for my leg....started another book yesterday, so I'll continue with that. I am hoping I don't end up having to go to the chiropractor this time around.
Two weeks exactly till school starts for the kids. I might be going back the Monday before they start. My library supervisor phoned me the other day and has offered me a permanent full time position instead of the term position I was heading into this fall. This new job would have me spend the mornings at the cataloguing center, then alternating afternoons at two different elementary schools. It means alot of running around, but at least it is permanent.
Have a great day all.

Good afternoon!
Its a really hot and humid day here! Lost to do today! I have to type a paper for tonight...pick df up at airport. Then get up to campus by 3:30 to meet with advisor. Then I have a break until 6:00 when I go to class. Fun filled day. I hope it's better then last night!:)
Have a Great Day!
Got a call at 6am that 2 of my dcks aren't coming today because one of them is sick. So, I just have 1 dck all day and 2 for about 1-2 hours. I'm actually glad the 2 aren't coming because I have to go register my dks for school this morning. Now I'll only have to take 3 kids with me instead of 5! :)
Both dks have soccer tonight so I'll have to record BB and watch it when I get home! Can't wait unti ltomorrow to see who gets kicked out and who gets to come back into the house! :)

Think we caught the flu bug around here. Ds was sick all day yesterday with a stomach ache and head ache. He feels better today but still not 100%. Dd #2 threw up this morning and is now having diarrhea. She complained of a stomach ache last night when she went to bed.
I kind of have a stomach ache myself but I'm not sure if it's because I'm thinking about the other kids or if I'm catching a little bit of it. I sure hope not, I have too many things to do.
We had planned on getting to the pool this afternoon since it closes for the season on Friday. I guess we'll have to hope to make it there tomorrow evening or Friday evening.
Besides laundry, I have Avon orders and books to get ready to deliver. Not sure I'm going to feel like delivering them today though.
Hope everyone else is having a healthier day than we are!! :)
was at the office most of the morning, doing faxes....kids are both at school...they get home early today....we got our purchase offer on the house....looks like we are going to be closing on it late September...:yippee:
went and got 0.03 cent stamps...sheeze I had a entire roll of $ 0.34 cent ones...and they raised the price....LOL...oh well...got our "we've Moved" flyer out....
taking it easy today....Open house tonight...7:00pm for ds and 7:30 pm for dd....yuck...dh will stay home with them...I get to go and hear all about the fun stuff planned for the year..;)
Linda-Sorry your all ill  take care of yourselves...
Ann-this week has been slow for me too....are you happy they are going back?
Jak- thanks for the BB reminder....totally forgot...

I think we're going camping this weekend. Ds says we are so I'd better get packing. The hiking club is up at Mt Adams for their yearly camp out. I didn't think we were going this year because DH says he's sick of camping, but it seems DS has talked him in to it. Too bad nagging isn't an Olympic event
My 8 yo DD wants me to take Tae Kwon Do so she can have a sparing partner. She's almost as tall as me now so we'd be pretty evenly matched. Now there's a scary thought! 8o
We've got swim lessons today then Library and grocery shopping. Afterwords I'm going over some PTA paperwork with my treasurer. This evening I'll be going into work for a couple hours so I'll have to make a quick dinner.
It should be a pretty tame day compared with Mon and tues... Which reminds me, need to call my friend. I had to take her to the docter on Monday because she injured her tail bone jumping 30 feet into a river. She was embassed and angry. She said she was never jumping off a cliff again. You know...for me that's always been a big "DUH" but I didn't say anything.

Well, it's interesting. The outgoing supervisor has been working with me for the last 3 days. It's been a little weird for both of us. I've been trying to keep my opinions to myself, and she's been trying to tell me how to do everything. I kind of have my own style, so it's awkward. But she's on vacation for the rest of the week, so I'll really be able to dig in. Lots of meetings, phone calls, and class lists circulating....lots of paper period. But enrollment numbers are good, staffing is coming together, and I'm excited to get the year underway!
On another note, it has been so hot this week that I'm grateful to be in an air-conditioned building....even if I have to wear a sweater inside! It was like 98 today--that's extreme for us northerners! LOL

The week does seem to be moving at a slower pace for me too.
I can't believe it only Wed.
Nothing too exciting in the works. The Nanny is off sick - rest of this week, so I am a little busier than usual, but surviving.
dd and ds are in their last week of camp. Home next week and then back to school. (ds gr.1 dd gr.5 - they grow up too fast)
ran, lifted weights, cleaned the toilets, laundry, vacuumed, bought and installed a new water heater.

Hello,
Just got home this evening, now the DK's are watching a movie before bed. About 2 weeks and it is school time again, the start Sept 4th...
Our little trip to Houston,BC was fun.. My freind has 4 DK's and with my two there it was a little crazy, but they all had fun and played hard.
My friend adn I did some scrapbooking and watched movies.
The drive home seemed long and traffic was bad, so I am glad to home and relaaxing, I think it will be an early night for me.
