Hi all!!

Ok, did the time change last night or something? It is 8 here but my posts say 9? I just love Indiana!! LOL

We are going to church this morning and then out to eat with my in-laws. It rained a little last night but looks like it is going to be sunny today. I am well rested since I went to bed at about 8 last night. I hope you are all well and having a great day too!!

yep..we sprang forward!

Went out with some friends for dinner and got home around 10..had a really wonderful time and then
spent the wee hours of the morning in the ER with ds..not only was he barking his brains out, but he started complaining of dizziness. The pulmonologist was worried that he maybe threw clot so that's why we had to go to the ER..got there at about 4..uh 5 cause we got to spring forward! but we had never been to sleep...saw the docs...all his vitals were good, left at 7....grrrrrr
wish i knew what was causing this
amazingly..by the time we left, he wasn't even coughing!!!! and they didn't give him any meds!

dd was coughing alot too, but crying that I was taking better care of him and not her!!!! LOL

So sorry about ds, Ann! I'm glad he's ok, but wish you could figure out what's causing this! How frustrated you must be! It's hard to see your child ill--especially when you can't do anything to help him.

Poor dd, too! Is her coughing a result of a cold?

Hope your dks are feeling better today and that you all get to take a nap!

She actually has "classic croup" ...I think she has allergies, cause she gets like this around pollen time....but she had a bad night Friday so the pedi gave her a steriod shot. It hasn't slowed her down any!!!! LOL

Poor kid! Will she eventually outgrow it? Does the steroid shot usually work for her?

this is the first time they have ever given it to her!!! She usually has more of a drainage cough.
right now everything around us is covered in about 4 inches of yellow (pollen) so it's not surprising that anyone is coughing.

Hope your ds is feeling better today. dd too! Are you feeling the sleep deprivation yet?

Ds was complaining of an ear ache last night but seems fine this AM. Keeping an eye on it.

Sorry to hear about your ds again... Is he still feeling okay? I feel for you having to go through all of this, it certainly can't be easy! Hope they are both feeling better today, and that you can find some time to catch up on some much needed sleep. :)

Thanks all! I napped a little. Woke ds up 2 so he would be able to go back to sleep tonite! LOL
He is hardly coughing at all, but his throat is just raw and he feels a little warm and he is just sort of numb. I am not sure I am going to make him go to school tomorrow..we will just have to see how tonite goes....I am supposed to be a table host at luncheon tomorrow.

I know how your frustration feels. I have spent waaay to much time in the Ped. office this year with dd. We have to go again to the ENT to check her adnoids. Im just not convinced its allegies because she is not stuffy at all. She only has a "vacuum sucking in" sound when she sleeps. Its just one big merry go round. I hope you find some answers! Is there anything in his family history that could clue you in? If not, is there anyway you could get more info? Someone else most have this.

Are you getting pine pollen now? Back in NC, we used to get absolutely covered in the stuff!!

you mean pine piss? sorry to be crude but that's what it is! LOL
no real family history of anything like this.
it's like all the sudden if he gets just a normal cold or allegy sniffle, something happens and it throws him into these spasmodic coughing fits.....

hope you get some answers with your dd...
