Returned from our camping trip...had a great time!!! However, we've all got quite a few mosquito/spider/biting fly/????? bites. They itch! What do you guys do for bug bites? Any great home remedies? Right now I'm putting on hydrocortisone cream...but I'm willing to try anything if it'll help. (We used bug spray...helped some, but I guess those "buggers" were persistent!) Any suggestions????

Yep...they are red and itchy! Think I'll try the "paste"...(I think they'd be fine...except that I'm itching them!!!!!!) Thanks, Renee!

I've used the "Afterbite" dabber. It's basically ammonia, and it really kills the itch. A little warning, though. If the bites are scratched raw, it stings like the devil!! So be careful. I like baking soda too, but it doesn't last long enough.

Be careful when you're outdoors. We've had a couple of cases of the west nile virus here. They are cautioning everyone to get rid of any standing water in yards and always use bug replealant with deet.

Go for the benadryl you'll like the sleep. We went to the end of the summer pool party for the teens last night and the little bugs drove me crazy. When I got home I felt like they were crawling all over me. I showered and took benadryl and went to bed. Slept like a baby.
