Well, I am finally exercising again. My foot surgery laid me up longer than I thought. I tried walking last week, but over did it. Ended up putting in 2 miles for 3 days.

But this week is going great! Monday - 2miles
Tuesday, Wed, and Thur. - 3 miles

Now, I need to lose some weight. I have been thinking about a diet supplement just to kick start me. I haven't much will power after the 6 week recop time.

I am feeling overweight. I hope to lose something. I realize it is as much what I eat, but my portion size. I will keep working on this!!

Anyone else out there struggling????

Yippee... I'm glad to hear that you're getting back on track. I've got to get my butt in gear too. 8o I know I've put a few pounds on since my dd's wedding and would like to take them back off... FAST!!! I've got another wedding to go to in October, and I want to fit into this size 10 dress I've been eyeing at Fashion Bug... LOL

Good luck Kacee... and keep it up. It sounds like you're doing great. :) :)

Diane...

Just found this. Thought I would post. Actually it was 9-11 which kept me exercising when I wanted to bow out!! I feel that our health is important when faced with terrorism. Those individuals did run for their lives and many were carrying, supporting, and cheering others on!!!

May we have strength and courage to keep our bodies in shape!!!

[Shamelessly snitched from another site cause I thought it was an excellent idea!]
I'd like to make a suggestion for all of us who are stirring around trying to figure out what to do with our emotion, sadness, fear, etc. etc. on this trying day...

Today I dedicated my run to the victims of 9/11. I ran for the businessmen/women who ran for their lives that day, the men/women who loved to run but lost their lives, the people who were hurt and may never run again. I realized that my better health and fitness might be what saves me and/or my family or someone else should I be involved in something similar, which brought some real seriousness to my workout today.

I'd like to propose that whatever our workout is for today, we do it honor of those whom we call heroes today because of their bravery and their strength.

Haven't been on the treadmill since school started. Was not very regular with my busy summer either. I so need to get back at it. Afraid to step on the scales although I did put on a skirt this morning thinking I'd wear the longer one cause it was looser, then felt it was a little snug, thought OMG, then realized it was the shorter one. Wore it cause I was thrilled it still fit as long as I stood up straight and held it in. So who knows. But, still not getting on the scales.

Well, this morning I only did 2 miles. :( My walking buddy wasn't feeling well and I had a touch of IBS. Had to stop early. I did put in 5 days though.

Now, I need to work on my food portions.

Jeff- Thanks for the laugh. It feels good to know that I am not alone!!!! Have you been training for anymore marathons??? I think that would be a good motivator.

Ok everyone!! Let's keep movin!!!
