Hey all! Awaiting the arrival of our two young houseguests for the week. No school today, "professional development" for the teachers and show and share appts for kids and parents. We are going at 1 with our dks.

The sun is finally shining 8) but boy it'll take a lot of effort to melt all this snow :frosty: .

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Morning. Am waiting for the painters to arrive and then I am going to go work out. I am just kicking myself, in the front part of the house we painted all the crown, trim and baseboards white..well to have continuity to the rooms, I wanted to keep the trim and baseboards white in the den. The den is painted paneling a kind of cream color...well, the white trim just looks awful, not enough of a contrast I guess. It's no big deal to paint it the paneling color cause it's just the first coat...BUT the reason why I am kicking myself was that there was a miscommunication in the original big and they didn't have down to paint some of the trim that they did that was the original color and I was only painting white to have continuity and so now I am basically being charged to keep things the same!!!!!!!!!! LOL
that got long and rambling, didn't it! :)

ds has a baseball game tonite

Not much here today. My boss and I came to an understanding.;) Instead of a salary, Im going back on hourly with a nice pay increase. Now I feel I won't ever get ripped off again.

I think Im going to be lazy today and do squat. I'll feel more energentic once the sun comes out.

Have been busy cleaning this morning and I even started packing for FL. We leave next week! :yippee: Oldest ds slept in until almost 10, so I only had one little helper! LOL! Not much else going on. Youngest ds has class with dh tonight, so oldest ds and I will go to the library and then I hope to get some Easter shopping done.

My nieghbor volunteered to take my kids to school so I find myself with some unexpected free time.

I've got a job with the parks and rec as an instructor's asstistant. I think they are going to pay me real money which is great 'cause the monopoly money the PTA been paying me's not been cutting it.

My husband's work has been real slow lately. He's not been getting the overtime and he's getting real concerned. We were planing to find a 3-bedroom apt. but I don't know how we're going to pull that of now. It is getting to the point where I'm thinking of changing our livingroom into a third bedroom and I would if my husband would let me get away with it. The kids are really ready for there own rooms.

Speaking of space, I'd better go clean or we won't have any room to sit down!

Oh wait, it's not December! You'd never know that by looking outside my window right now....can you say SNOW :smallsnow: !
Yuk!
On a brighter note...the lady, who's job I have now, had a baby boy yesterday! They induced her 5.5 weeks early because she had such bad toxemia (sp?) and her kidneys were starting to shut down. After 6 hours of hard labour, they finally did a c-section. Mom and baby (little- only 5lbs eight oz) are both doing fine. I can hardly wait until tomorrow when I get to visit them at the hospital. (What's this David....no baby smilies???)
:)
Jeannie-congrats on the job. Sounds like it will be fun.

I'm glad that you and your boss came to an understanding about your pay... There is nothing worse than feeling like you got ripped off after working SO hard for so many long hours. :) I'm also glad that you had the nerve to bring it to their attention. (Something I just HATE having to do) :)

Bye~~

Congratulations on your new job!!! I hope you enjoy it! REAL money is SO much funner to spend than Monopoly money... and the stores will actually ACCEPT it! LOL Bummer about dh's job... I hope things pick up for him real soon, then maybe you can move into that 3-bedroom apt. you've been wanting. One of my friends "kind of" did that to her living room... First of all it was a pretty big livingroom to begin with but she put her bed up against the far wall with an end table and then she put her dresser in a closet. She divided the room by facing the sofa away from the bed and rearranged everything to fit. It was a bit snugglie but I thought it was kind of cute. (cozy) Good luck!! :)

I would love to be able to go back in a month and a half! Wouldn't it be fun to meet? :) Maybe next Spring?! Did you grow up in FL? Been to Disney a lot? I can't wait to go!

Leigh

yeah I grew up there. I had never lived anyplace else until I came over here, and had never been away from there for more than two weeks. I can't wait to go back. I have been to Disney several times, but the funny thing is dh has lived there his whole life too, and he has never been. I am trying to plan a surprise trip for him when we get back. It would be kinda like a late birthday thing.

Fun idea for your dh's birthday. It's so fun there! I am hoping for good weather. I think it's one of the busiest times of year to go from what I have read, but it will still be fun! :)
